Can you brief us? this conflict started after court judgement. meities who constitutes 65% population wants tribal status and land rights, currently meities are not allowed to buy land in nagas area. high court agreed with meities demand and granted tribal status along with land purchase rights. nagas and other tribals with population 35% opposing court judgement fearing that they may lose exclusive land rights. it is fight for resources and tribal status. no religion stuff involved in this conflict.
