no, it is mostly filled with sand and dirt with thinner concrete wall holding it together. since godavari has potential to get huge floods this concrete layer will much thicker.

that is one of the difference. main difference is that Main dam has to withstand the pressure of 200+ TMC of water. where as cofferdam don't need to because it does not store any water it simply guides the water in to diversion channel(canal dug parallel to the river). meaning it does not need to be as strong as the main one. However, here they are planning to store water with cofferdam itself. this is odd. too many temporary projects

Using 2 canals 2.5tmc/day divert cheyochu we can use 2 canals directly, minimum 100days lo 250tmc diversion is possible.

 

There are so many issues with courts, neighbouring states which we need to sort out avi anni oka aye time daka we can divert water without any problems.

 

250tmc ante 250tmc*10,000 acres =  25,00,000 acres ki water supply cheyochu.

 

From june to till date godavari nunchi 2000tmc wasted into sea and last year 1750tmc wasted into sea.

 

Andulo oka 250-400tmc ni divert chesthe chalu directly East, west, krishna,vizag, guntur,prakasaham 6 dsts ni water stabilization cheyochu easy ga.

 

Even we can start krishna-penna linkage chesthe nellore, kadapa and chittur kuda add avutundi godavari water tho they might be saved.

 

Ante directly 6dsts, indirectly inko 3 dsts total 9 dsts out of 13 dsts may be saved using a small coffer dam.

 

So better and fastly water anedhi dam lo nilabadithe chalu farmers votes one-sided padutayi

Brother, I am aware of legal issues. Why can't we build the full Dam but store only 60 TMC until legal issues are settled. CBN is talking about finishing the main Dam in 500 days. why another temporary one? By the way, is the 500 day target is for cofferdam or main dam?

I think whole dam may not be completed because works will be done only for 6 months or 5 months per year.

 

CBN saying 1st phase he is not saying i will complete whole project.

 

Mainly even concrete works will take time because of climatic conditions so atleast some dam storage chesthe we can send more water usage is possible

Phase 1 is coffer dam.. target for 2018-19.. not sure on the main dam timeline..
