swarnandhra
I still have this doubt, with Kharif advancing almost 60 days ahead, is black gram, which is a short term crop beneficial? We still have a month of cyclone prone period right? vari kuppalu veseste, cyclones vacchina okay. water 7-10 days kante ekkuva kalam stagnate ayithe tappa minumula ki pedda ga problem vudadu

swarnandhra
Prakasam barrage is just 3 TMC but 100+ TMC's is actually used from that barrage. considering only one time storage capacity of a dam/barrage to gauge the downstream impact is misleading. agreed, 9 TMC is not big deal and in a good spell it takes just a day or two fill. However, in a lean season/storm it can take a week or two to fill just once.

Problem land lo kante manushulu lone anipistondhi bro yes godvari water carries more plant nutrients than Krishna bedause krishna is heavily constrained by dams. so only settled clear water flows down stream leaving all the plant nutrients behind the dams.
