Kia Motors Bringing in More InvestmentsKia Motors Plant coming up in Anantapur is gearing up to roll out the first car from the plant by February 2019. The South Korea-based company which is the fifth biggest Automobile manufacturer in the World selected AP as its home for its first ever plant in India. The company will be making a whopping 10000 Crore investment and will provide 10000 Employment Opportunities. Besides this, 150 ancillary units will come up there and most of them belong to South Korea. The government has identified 160 acres more for these units. The land will be allotted to these units after the companies send their proposals. Andhra Pradesh government already allotted 600 acres land to Kia Motors plant. S NA P - Being an employee of Hyundai-Kia, I know how difficult it is to convince the South Koreans. Really it is an incredible job and efforts by our CM to bring this project to such a drought place. People of Anantapur are really fortunate in getting this project. Great CM! Most coveted investment in India is KIA Motors business! Definitely this will change the equations of full Rayalaseema! That is why Our CM is called the India's Leading Reformer! KIA Motors Corporation logo. Anantapur: The unit of Seoul-based KIA Motors Corporation, a sister concern of Hyundai Motors will be one of the major industries in Andhra Pradesh. The 600 acres of Erramanchi Lands, located on NH-44 Road in Penukonda mandal in Anantapur district will be hosting the car manufacturing unit at an estimated cost of $2 billion (Rs 12,800 crore). Targeting early 2019 as the date to start production, the state government has initiated the handover process of the barren lands by levelling it so that construction can be started easily. Though other states including Tamil Nadu were in the fray, competing to get KIA to set up units in their state, the AP government succeeded in looping them in to start their car manufacturing unit in Anantapur district. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government for the new plant. Kia Motors president Han-Woo Park signed and exchanged the MoU with AP Industries department officials in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Industries Minister N Amarnath Reddy three months ago. A senior official from Industries department said that he had never seen such fast leveling work of barren lands to make it ready for construction. “The L&T is doing the contract of the ground levelling works at a cost of Rs 174 crore. The government is also ready to divert necessary water resources towards proposed project area,” Anantapur collector Mr Veerapandian said and added that pipelines will be laid to bring water from Gollapalli Reservoir at an estimated cost of Rs 125 crore. Penukonda MLA B.K. Parthasarathi said that farmers gave away lands cooperating with the government in promoting industrial growth. “The unit would generate more than 11 thousand employment opportunities,” said Mr Parthasarathi and added that the chief minister would lay foundation stone for the mega unit. The representatives of the car manufacturing company are temporarily housed in the AP Tourism Guest House to monitor ongoing works. KIA Motors representative Mr Eeswar informed "We have set up a target to begin the trial run of the manufacturing unit soon and start the production in September 2019." sonykongara Posted October 2, 2017 Author Share Posted October 2, 2017 కియా’ ప్రాంతంలో కొరియా కళ ఈనాడు- అనంతపురం, అమరావతి: పెనుకొండ సమీపంలో ఏర్పాటవుతున్న ‘కియా’ కార్ల పరిశ్రమ ప్రాంతంలో దక్షిణ కొరియాలోని నగరాల కళ కనిపించాలని, ఆ దిశగా ఏర్పాట్లు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. ఆదివారం ఆయన పుట్టపర్తి నుంచి హెలికాప్టర్ ద్వారా ‘కియా’ ప్లాంటు ఏర్పాటు కోసం జరుగుతున్న భూముల అభివృద్ధి పనులను పరిశీలించారు. మొత్తం 3సార్లు హెలికాప్టర్తో ఆ ప్రాంతంలో కలియతిరిగి పనులను ఆసాంతం చూశారు. అంతకుముందు పుట్టపర్తిలో అధికారులతో సమావేశమై కియా పనులపై సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. పనులు జరుగుతున్న తీరును జిల్లా కలెక్టరు వీరపాండ్యన్ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి వివరించారు. ఎల్అండ్టీ సంస్థ ఈ భూములను చదును చేస్తోందని, మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కల్పన పనులు వేగవంతంగా జరుగుతున్నాయని తెలిపారు. మొత్తం 5 దశల్లో పనులు పూర్తి చేయాల్సి ఉండగా, 3 దశల్లో పూర్తి చేశామని, 4, 5 దశల పనులు 36శాతం పూర్తి చేశామని చెప్పారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్పందిస్తూ... 4, 5 దశల పనులు ఎందుకు వేగంగా జరగడం లేదని ఎల్అండ్టీ ప్రతినిధులను ప్రశ్నించారు. నవంబరు నెలాఖరులోగా పూర్తి చేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. అవసరమైతే మరింత యంత్ర సామగ్రిని తెచ్చుకుని పనులు యుద్ధ ప్రాతిపదికన చేయాలని సూచించారు. కియా ప్లాంటుకు నీటిని అందించే పనులను పరిశీలించారు. గొల్లపల్లి రిజర్వాయరును సుందరీకరించాలని ఆదేశించారు. గొల్లపల్లి రిజర్వాయరు నుంచి జాతీయ రహదారికి అనుసంధానంగా నిర్మిస్తున్న రహదారి పనులను వేగవంతం చేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. కియా ప్లాంటు నుంచి ప్రధాన రహదారికి వెళ్లడానికి ఎలాంటి ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా ఉండేలా ఒక రైలు పై వంతెన, రైలు కింది వంతెన పనులను త్వరితగతిన పూర్తి చేయాలని సూచించారు. 10న కొరియాకు ఏపీ బృందం కియా ప్లాంటు పనుల్లో భాగంగా వచ్చే నెల 10 దక్షిణ కొరియా, అమెరికాల్లో పర్యటించడానికి రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి అధికారుల బృందం వెళ్లనుంది. పరిశ్రమలశాఖ కార్యదర్శి సాల్మన్ ఆరోఖ్యరాజ్, కమిషనరు సిద్ధార్థ జైన్, ఏపీఐఐసీ ఎండీ ఏ.బాబు, అనంతపురం జిల్లా కలెక్టరు వీరపాండ్యన్లతో కూడిన బృందం దక్షిణ కొరియాకు వెళ్లి కియా కంపెనీ ప్రతినిధులతో భేటీ కానుంది. అమెరికాలో కియా ప్లాంటులాగే అనంతపురం జిల్లాలో ఏర్పాటు చేయడానికి కియా సిద్ధమైంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో అమెరికాలోని జార్జియాలో ఆ కంపెనీ ప్లాంటును పరిశీలించి దాని ప్రత్యేకతలను అధికారులు చూసి రానున్నారు.
