sonykongara Posted September 2, 2018 Author Share Posted September 2, 2018 అమరావతిలో ఫార్ములా 1 బోట్ల పరుగు పందెంనవంబరు 16 నుంచిఈనాడు - అమరావతి ఒళ్లు గగుర్పొడిచే వేగంలో ట్రాక్‌పై కార్ల పోటీలను ఫార్ములా-1 కార్‌ రేస్‌లో చూస్తుంటాం.. గాలిలో హెలికాప్టర్‌ రేస్‌లూ ఉన్నాయి. ఇలా నింగీ నేల రేసుల్లాగే నీటిలోనూ రేస్‌లుంటాయనేది మనలో చాలామందికి తెలిసిన విషయమే. నీటిలో అలాంటి రేసు అదీ ప్రపంచ ఛాంపియన్‌ షిప్‌ పోటీలు మన అమరావతి వేదికగా జరగనున్నాయి. నవంబరు 16, 17, 18 మూడు రోజులూ ప్రకాశం బ్యారేజీ వద్ద కృష్ణాలో ఎఫ్‌1హెచ్‌2ఓ పేరుతో ఈ పోటీలు కనువిందు చేయనున్నాయి. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా టాప్‌ రేసర్లు ఇందులో పోటీ పడుతున్నారు. అమరావతి బోట్‌ కూడా ఇందులో ఒకటిగా ఉంటోంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఈ పవర్‌ బోట్‌ రేస్‌ చరిత్ర, ఎలా ఉంటాయి? కార్‌, హెలికాప్టర్‌ రేసుల్లో వినియోగించే కార్లు హెలికాప్టర్లకు పవర్‌ బోట్‌కు ఎలాంటి పోలికలు, తేడాలుంటాయనేది ఆసకికరం..ఎఫ్‌1హెచ్‌2ఓ పోటీల తీరు.. ఎఫ్‌1హెచ్‌2ఓ ఛాంపియన్‌షిప్‌ అనేది ప్రఖ్యాత అంతర్జాతీయ పవర్‌బోట్‌ రేస్‌.. 1981లో ప్రారంభమైన ఈ రేస్‌లో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ఫిన్‌లాండ్‌, ఇటలీ, ఫ్రాన్స్‌, పోర్చుగల్‌, యూఎస్‌ఏ, స్వీడన్‌, నార్వే, జర్మనీ, యూఏఈ, యూకే వంటి దేశాలకు చెందిన 20 మంది వరకు ప్రపంచ లీడింగ్‌ డ్రైవర్లు పాల్గొంటారు. 9 బృందాలు(టీం)గా పోటీ పడతారు. ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా పలు వేదికల్లో ఈ పోటీలను నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ సంవత్సరం ప్రపంచ ఛాంపియన్‌షిప్‌ పోటీల్లో ఒక పోటీని మన విజయవాడలో నిర్వహించనున్నారు. ఇందుకు సంబంధించిన ఒప్పందం కూడా రాష్ట్ర పర్యాటక శాఖ పోటీల నిర్వహణ సంస్థతో చేసుకుంంది, శుక్రవారం సచివాలయంలో జరిగిన రాష్ట్ర పర్యాటక సాంస్కృతిక వారసత్వ మండలి సమావేశంలో ఈ ఒప్పందానికి మండలి ఛైర్మన్‌ హోదాలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు ఆమోదముద్ర వేశారు. ఈ ప్రపంచ ఛాంపియన్‌షిప్‌ పోటీలను యూనియన్‌ ఇంటర్నేషనల్‌ మోటోనాటిక్‌(యూఐఎం) పోటీలను నిర్వహిస్తుంది.* ఒకే సీటు కలిగిన పవర్‌ బోట్లను ఈ పోటీల్లో భాగంగా ఉపయోగిస్తారు.* ఎక్కువగా సముద్రాన్ని ఆనుకుని ఉన్న (ఇన్‌షోర్‌) ప్రాంతంలో పోటీలు జరుగుతుంటాయి. సరస్సు, నది, డాక్‌ వంటివాటిలోనే ఎక్కువగా ఈ పోటీలు నిర్వహిస్తారు. ప్రకాశం బ్యారేజీ నుంచి కృష్ణా నది ఒంపుతో (కర్వ్‌) ఉండడం ఈ పోటీలకు చాలా అనువుగా ఉందని నిర్వహకులు ఈ వేదికను ఖరారు చేశారు.* ఈ ఒంపుల్లోనూ గంటకు 90 మైళ్ల వేగంతో నేరుగా ఉండే నీటిమార్గంలో అయితే గంటకు 140మైళ్ల వేగంతో దూసుకువెళ్లే డ్రైవర్లు పోటీల్లో పాల్గొంటున్నారు.* నీటిలో ఎంపిక చేసిన స్ట్రెచ్‌లో 45 నిమిషాలపాటు ఈ పోటీ ఉంటుంది.* నీటిలో సుమారు 350 మీటర్ల మేర అనేక (మల్టిపుల్‌) మలుపులతో ట్రాక్‌ను సిద్ధం చేస్తారు. ఈ ట్రాక్‌పై 250కి.మీ. వేగంతో పవర్‌బోట్లు పోటీ పడతాయి. sonykongara Posted September 2, 2018 Author Share Posted September 2, 2018 Govt plans to make F1H2O an Amaravati fixture for 10 years Ujwal Bommakanti| TNN | Updated: Sep 1, 2018, 23:55 IST Vijayawada: The Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship, also referred to as F1H2O, is all set to come to the capital city for the first time in November, and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) is keen on making it a permanent annual fixture for the next ten years. Speaking to TOI, APTDC managing director Himanshu Shukla confirmed that they are in talks with the promoters of F1H2O to have the Amaravati race in the season calendar for the next ten years, and expressed hope of a positive development. Recently, APTDC signed an agreement with F1H2O’s management and India Xtreme Adventure Activities to conduct the sixth round of the championship in the Krishna on November 17 and 18. APTDC’s efforts yielded results as it bagged the television rights to the race, with officials hopeful of generating a good revenue out of the event. “Our revenue is going to come from various sponsors and television advertisements,” said Shukla. Recommended By Colombia The event will be free for visitors. “We aren’t going to ticket people who will come to see the race in Vijayawada,” Shukla told TOI. APTDC will set up viewing galleries near Punnami Ghat and will also close the Prakasam Barrage during the two-day event and will turn it into a makeshift viewpoint for people. The idea of organising the sport was mooted back in 2016, when chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was looking to host an international event to draw attention to the capital region. He even gave a personal invite to the organisers last year. Around eight to nine meetings were held where APTDC got in touch with India Xtreme Adventure Activities, a private organisation that has a tie-up with F1H2O. Previously, F1H2O took place once in India back in 2004. However, the management wasn’t keen on coming back to the country again due to lack of infrastructure and a proper viewing gallery. Now, APTDC would be responsible for setting up the necessary requirements for the high-speed power boats to ply. The 750 metre water-path has already been prepared between Haritha Resorts in Berm Park and Prakasam Barrage. The exciting battle resumes after a brief break, at the Agile Grand Prix in Xiangyang, China from September 21 to 23. Xiangyang in Hubei province will be the 11th city in China to host a round of the prestigious championship. Team Abu Dhabi is leading the championship chart with 41 points and a victory in Xiangyang will balance the Grand Prix hat-trick which was last achieved by Scott Gillman in 2004. Team Abu Dhabi has performed tremendously well in London and Evian, which has catapulted them to poll position. Team Amaravati is enthusiastically preparing to enthrall the F1H2O water sport lovers in China and the world. Post the China Grand Prix, the championship will move to India for the first time after a gap of 14 years. The Indian edition of F1H2O Motorboat Racing will take place on the River Krishna in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. The dates are November 16, 17 and 18.
