  1. Key to this election: large switch of Dalits and Muslims away from JD S in Mysore; in Hyd-Karnataka and Bellary, its again Dalit-Muslim coalition.. Lingayats staying with BJP.. #AxisExitPoll @IndiaToday tv..

  2.

Axis @IndiaToday exit poll is showing JDS declining sharply in old Mysore. Cong holding on in Bengaluru, Hyd-Karnataka, BJP doing well in Mumbai Karnataka, central and coastal areas. #AxisExitPoll

Final conclusions:

1. All surveys are unanimous on BJP wave in Mumbai Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka & Central Karnataka.

Difference is only in other areas:

1. Those who are predicting BJP victory: JD (S) regained glory inn old Mysuru region and tough fight between BJP and Congress in Bengaluru & border districts of Andhra and Telangana.

2. But, Axis My India/Cfore which predicted Congress victory is saying - Congress big gains in old Mysuru and significant gains in Bengaluru and Telugu border districts.

If Congress wins - 3 main reasons:

1. Silent voting by the beneficiaries of Siddaramaiah welfare schemes.

2. Fearing BJP-JDS violence, Muslims consolidated around Congress. Some Dalits who used to vote for JDS also consolidated around Congress.

3. One-side voting by non-Reddy Telugu voters for Congress in border districts.

No change in prediction at least with heart but brain is waiting for 15th.

Highest ever polling percentage in the history of Karnataka - 72.1%

Highest: Ramanagara in Bengaluru Rural - 90%

Lowest: Dasarahalli in bengaluru city - 48%

I will be surprised if one party will not get clear majority with this kind of voting - serious anti-incumbency or massive silent support.

Very high polling in Mysuru region - pro JDS or pro congress?????

Very high polling in Coastal and central Karnataka - clear BJP

Everyone is agreeing that there is no serious anti-incumbency against congress, we have to go with Congress.

Final verdict: Congress retains Karnataka.
