The Cabinet has also approved revisions in the Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) rates for Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potash (K), and Sulphur (S) for the RABI Season. Additionally, a subsidy of ₹38,000 crores has been sanctioned for Kharif 2023 to ensure affordable and high-quality P&K fertilizers for farmers. In a move to support the IT Hardware sector, the Cabinet has approved the Production Linked Incentive Scheme (PLI) with a budgetary outlay of Rs 17,000 crore. The program, spanning six years, aims to attract investments of Rs 2,430 crore. Furthermore, the Cabinet has granted subsidies of ₹70,000 crores for Urea and ₹38,000 crore for Diammonium phosphate (DAP) in the Kharif season. This totals to ₹1.08 lakh crore in fertilizer subsidies, reinforcing the government's commitment to supporting agricultural development. #CabinetDecisions
