Box Office Tragedy: Big Pan-India Film Crashes The much-anticipated Bade Miyan Chote Miyan pulled in 15 crores net on its opening day at the Indian box office which is a very poor result. What makes it even worse is the fact that the real collections stand closer to 12 crores, with the producers injecting 3 crores through corporate bookings. Considering the Eid season is one of the biggest holidays for Bollywood releases, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has sent shock waves within the industry with its dismal performance. Another shock awaits today as the film’s performance continues to disappoint, with a huge drop on Day 2. Audience turnout remains lackluster, painting a grim picture for this highly anticipated movie of 2024, boasting a hefty budget of 350 crores and a star-studded cast. Recent reports paint a sad picture, with occupancy plummeting to a shocking 10-11%, a stark contrast to the 33-35% witnessed on Day 1. Any film doesn’t experience a big drop on Basi Eid (the day after Eid), but BMCM has crashed badly, recording a significant decline compared to the already poor figures from Day 1. The occupancy has dropped by 60% from its first day. Such a drastic decline hints at a negative trend, with the film possibly struggling to even reach single-digit collections on Friday. Estimates suggest second-day earnings might range between 7-8 crores, a figure that could climb to 10 crores if producers resort to self-bookings to save their reputation. The 4-day weekend is heading towards a 50 crore net collection from India. The overseas numbers are also shockingly low. With such underwhelming figures, it seems unlikely that the film will even cross the 100 crores mark in net earnings from India in its lifetime, marking it as a colossal disaster. Alanti kala khandalu at least 5 release chestadu per year. He has become like Mithun and Dharmendra during end of their careers.
