It is on Edge already. Layoffs heavy ga avuthunnayi. Inflation is not yet coming down. Revenues shrinking. below is US Leading Economic Index (LEI) indicator which usually takes multiple factors such as US GDP growth, Jobs growth, Mfg sector order growth, S&P 500 Revenues etc. it is on edge.

Micro services have its own advantages uncle. Security and scalability are two major things these days. Github lo token leak avvatam valla entire Mercedes Benz source code was in public ani vinna recent gaa. Micro servives can limit such damages.

As a senior leader in tech industry, I am sharing my perspective.

The world around us will keep on evolving and will wait for no one. It's essential to never stop investing in your personal development. If you are doing the same job from lets say last 2-3 years, ask yourself this question. Why? Conversations about recession and similar topics will always exist. There are people whose employment got impacted even when the market was good for different reasons. Neither the future nor tomorrow's events can be accurately anticipated or manipulated. But when the situation turns upside down, can you switch gears and adopt yourself with ongoing changes? If the answer is no, then you are at risk. It's just a matter of time.

The booming of automation made people scared about their jobs. But automation doesn't run by itself. You need someone to design automation tools and services. Same applies to AI/ML and others.

Acquisition lo layoffs undavu in general, capital one vadu lepali. They will make deals like 2 year can't fire etc...

Not really. It's actually the other way around in my opinion. Whenever a merge happens, first things that leaders look at is cost cutting, optimizations and avoid redundancy. Thats why 3YP plans keep on changing every year.

Everyone I know for whom H1 got picked got job in 2-3 months Max .

Freshers with 2-3 years experience absolutely dead market. Software Engineering space. Full timers who got laid off last year, naa circle lo 4/5 unnaru. It’s been 6+ months. No job.

Last may lo grad aina many students ki inka jobs raledhu, even through consultancies. Ee December batch line lo untaru ippudu. These two batches are major in numbers (post pandemic surge)

Could be , but In my org that's my experience. Even 6 months back we acquired 1 org and we were told they had 2 year deal and 5-7% pay raise when merger completed.

Also IBM acquired portion of our team in one infra upgrade deal 3 months back and it was written 2 year guarantee for employees with 15% pay raise  and even if fired they need to get paid for those 2 years (this is in India) . Only thing here is IBM kept clause they will do background verification again and found around 100 fake candidates. Felt sorry for them as they lost everything
