ravindras Posted October 22, 2023 Share Posted October 22, 2023 current can't be stored at massive level. current production is adjusted according to demand instantly by changing power production. if they unable to provide enough power they cut off supply to some areas. current production, transmission, distribution complexity increases with kitchen appliances, geysers, air conditioners . they consume more power instantly, creates imbalance in 3 phase system and increases peak demand. power generation , transmission, distribution systems capacity should be equal or more to peak demand to provide uninterrupted power supply. central government proposed differential tariff based on on maximum demand, total power consumption , peak time or non peak time power consumption . these tariffs creates responsibility in consumer usage pattern for sustainable power system. few suggestions on saving power bill in new tariff system: don't purchase 3 litre instant heating geysers which requires 4 kw power . use 10 litre or 15 litre storage based geysers whose capacity is 2 kw. use kitchen appliances during off peak demand in holidays. if your wife is not working suggest her to use possible appliances during off peak time. set air conditioner temperature between 24 to 28 degrees. you feel comfortable. you don't feel too much chill. use led bulbs , led tube lights for lighting. suggestion for safety: make sure all all of your high power loads such as kitchen appliances, motor for pumping water, geysers, air conditioner, fridge are connected to earth wiring to prevent current shock.
