Don’t understand the idea behind playing Ashwin in these 2 test matches. He suffered from a recurring groin injury in Eng and these type of injuries need good rest so that they don’t come back.

They just want Ashwin to dish on the Windies side and increase his wickets tally ?

or

they are are not concerned about his availability with full match fitness in Australia as you may not play 2 spinners in all matches and you have a plan of giving Jadeja a full series overseas ?

It’s not about resting. Ashwin pulled up his groin in 3rd test. In Australia where the grounds are bigger, you will be running as a fielder or batsman. He should be 100% match fit to play all 4 tests.

When: October 12-16, 2018 at 9:30 AM IST

Where: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

What to expect: While Holder observed that the pitch had a lot more cracks compared to the Rajkot wicket, Virat Kohli was of the opinion that "the pitch doesn't wear and tear so much" and has something for both the batsmen and the bowlers.

INDIA WON BY 10 WICKETS

Pruthvi shaw Man of the Series.

Rare Coincidence:

Last three home series for India against WI, a debutant went on to win Man of the series:
R Ashwin in 2011
Rohit Sharma in 2013
Prithvi Shaw in 2018

Irony is both those debutants had a forgettable overseas series that followed. Hope shaw replicates what Sehwag did to us early in his career
