Took on Bal Thackeray when he was the Minister for divestment and was also minister for communications/IT. Did an excellent job, will shine whichever portfolio is given to him. Arun Jaitely; Doubt about his capabilities as EAM, eloquent speaker but lacks international exposure and Modi needs someone who has strong relations as India is going to have problems with Pakistan and Modi is not someone who will keep quiet. MM.Joshi: An absolute third rate fellow, was professor [Physics] in Aligar Muslim university, a trouble monger day in and day out, I think Modi would prefer to sideline him but circumstances may not allow him to do that right now, may be he will ease him out once he settles down. all said and done, MM.Joshi does not deserve Defence. Honest, bold and intellectual personality. Would love to see him in Modi's cabinet..... Yaswanth sinha too did a good job during NDA's regime....he would be another top contender to this coveted post. Dr.Subramanian Swamy will also fit this post well. . Curios to see how the Cabinet of Modi is going to be....that should give enough indication for now on how his future administration would be.. pervez Posted May 20, 2014 Share Posted May 20, 2014 What Ramoji Rao was going through since last 10 years, Arun Shourie was 100 times in a worse situation for he took on the formidable late Mrs. Indira Gandhi. He was instrumental in bringing down two chief ministers 1. AR. Antulay & 2. Vasant Dada Patil both the CM's of maharashtra. The situations was so bad that Ramnath Goenka [Owner of then united Indian Express] was jailed and was subsequently harassed by income tax dept and it reached such a pitiable situation that he could no longer fight and finally had to succumb to political pressures and remove Arun Shouri as editor to be replaced by Mr. Suman Dubey who later went on to be the media advsor of late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. Arun Shourie was also instrumental in late Mrs. IG losing power by exposing many a scandals, the chief one being the Kuo oil deal [i hope I have pronounced it right]. As is fearless and bold and would not hesitate to take on the mightiest, highly knowledgeable person, does thorough investigation and only then does he present his case and most of the time succeeds. he prefers to do his job and does not lobby, a staunch RSS sympathiser and hence his proximity to BJP. When he was the divestment minister, Bal Thackeray wanted the Centaur hotel in Bomaby to be given to a particular business group but Mr. AS refused to budge and point blank said no to BT, the issue went to such an extent that BT framed allegations of corruption against AS which of course could not be proved and AS went public against BT to which BT had no answer. To some one who mentioned in earlier post that he does not interact with cadre, the fact of the matter is that cadre does not prefer to interact with intellectuals for they have no knowledge about issues. I hope he is given important portfolio in Modi's Cabinet. Murli Manohar Joshi: The less said the better about this garbage, what Kodandram is/was to TRS, MMJ is to BJP, a constant trouble creator and attention grabber. He was give the HRD moinistry to keep him in the loop line, I hope he is given some insignificant portfolio if none, then there cannot be anything better than that. Sushma Swaraj: Sulking b'cuz Modi became the stumbling block for her PM ambitions, one more who should be sidelined as she can cause no harm for she will not be able to win any election on her own, she will go down like Uma Bharati, Sadhivi Rithhambra, Kalyan Singh etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
