Ntr-Cbn-Nbk
SeemaSatthaa
Yup but talented Americans are not cheap labor like Indians Define "cheap". Don't get carried with the buzz words.. Americans avg salary across the country is $50k where as indians are at around $90k. Small % of Indians are gems too exactly like americans and they are very expensive. You might have known few names already.

When you understand the economic equations more, you will get to know why majority of the manufacturing jobs are not only difficult to bring back, but not worth the effort. Low-skill low-paying jobs don't help much. I donno how old you are, but sorry to say, Your olympics analogy sounded amateur. For any nation to thrive, market should be opened up for business. US is doing exactly the same. But its lagging in producing skillful and competitive citizens. Prbly because of higher education being unaffordable. Its a separate discussion altogether on why it can't produce.
swarnandhra
costly higher education is not the only reason for USA not producing enough Science and Technology graduates. Look around and see what percentage of girls pursue these fields in USA. Even among girls from Asian immigrant families who are financially well off and takes education as highest priority, their share is slightly higher than average but not as high as their share in India/China. I see clutural issues also at play here. Being good in math/science gets you the title "nerd" and a bench warmer(extra player) on football team gets idolized leave alone the quarterback. If this is the situation in 9-12 grades, how many would overcome that peer pressure and pick unpopular & hard courses in undergrad?

Its a separate discussion altogether on why it can't produce. In any country not every person is high-skilled bro.. low skilled people require low skilled jobs.. America was better when manufacturing happened in America because these people had jobs. Agree it is difficult to get these jobs back to America but don't think it is impossible. Difficulty is only because of reluctance by companies to move jobs back. nothing to do with people. This is America.. if the govt really want to bring back jobs, it can... no one can stop it... might be product price konchem ekkuva vundochhu companies ki konchem profit taggochhu. But at the end people are happy because they have a job. Market open ante antha oka chota manufacture chesi migatha world ki export cheyyatamu ante there is some thing wrong with it bro..
