Two things..

1. Foriegn country lo cinema may be a luxury.. but not in India it is the only mode of entertainment that we grew with except Cricket.

2. Producers are not doing business directly with consumers to decide the ticket prices. They deal with distributors and distributors deal with theater owners. But at the end of the day consumer will pay for the services of that theater. Those services will not change based on the movie.

I agree high anticipated movies sell higher in prices than normal movies just like how marquee matchups in sports like tournament finals, rafa vs federer, india vs pakistan, etc sell for higher rates than normal but even those start with standard prices and then resells higher based on demand.

Different artist tickets sells at different rates at the same venue for concerts.. so price hikes are normal..

What is not normal is movies makers forcing them to hike the prices to cash in before it crashs if film flops. Then later every biggie starts hiking the rates and over the period it becomes the norm and standard, which is not good for consumer.

Ticket Price Issue ayyindhi AP lo kada. Edaina extreme is not good.

T lo enduku antha hike ichharu anedi evariki telidu. This will kill small hero films. Ghani is a big example. ee cinema ki intha petti vellalaa bokka ani lite teesukunnaru. Result is complete washout.

AP lo ippudu unna rates more or less same as last 5 years. So that should not be a problem.

Just to understand more of your POV

1) Agree in terms of people feelings thats the only entertainment apart cricket, but that shouldnt stop a business to decided their price

2) Yes producer ki direct ga sambandham ledhu...only distributor/exhibitor sets the price.....its priced based on demand of the movie+service provided by theatre ac, non-ac etc so valla ishtam vachinattu pettukuntaaru.... govt ki antha concern untee, they should educate people "endhuku raa aa hero lu, aa cinemaa lu meeku...mee brathukulu chooskondi etc etc " ani

People should stop being emotional about movies, fanisms should stop...appudu antha price evadoo pettadu tkt ki...aslaa vallu kooda evadoo konatledhu kaabatti anthanatha rates pettaru...its pure demand and supply...

Suresh babu always rocks...

Ppl should boycott films and make producers realise... Then automatically rates tavgistaru... Ezample ghani type washouts inkonni jarigithe....

Private business lo manufacturer decides price.... Simple... Dont mix essential with luxury and confuse
