Vaccine production procedure is not computer code where you can add more clusters and just scale it. Lockdown should be near term priority while a clear roadmap on vaccine strategy should be made transparent to the public ASAP. The total required vaccines count is 180 crore (considering you vaccinate 70% population with 2 doses without any spillage). Even if India pulled all resources internally and engaged foreign vaccine developers, optimally the complete vaccination process will take 6 months to complete. LOSNTRFANS Posted May 8, 2021 Share Posted May 8, 2021 Lock down is Temporary solution...yah cases will go down after atleast 4 to 6 weeks of lockdown with the current trend. If it's a full lock down where no one even steps out for anything. But that is hard to control. Yes also will push India into a bigger financial crisis. Vaccine is a long term solution, yes it will help reduce the cases in multifold. This will take a longer time though atleast another 6 months to even reach a good level because of a failed process from the government. We are in a situation where no option is a right option at this point have to just pick an option and hope it work. Unfortunately that's the situation we are in right now.
