Amrutha- Pranay- Maruthi Rao episode is one of the most discussed topics in the Telugu states after coronavirus. Maruthi Rao's suicide and the subsequent developments are widely discussed now. Making films on current affairs is not a new trend. 'Annapurnamma Gari Manavadu' is one such film that is based on Amrutha- Pranay episode, as being publicised by the makers. They have already announced the release date as March 20. The makers are promoting it as "Archana, Baladitya in the real story of Amrutha - Pranay that happened in Miryalaguda. Senior artist Banerjee is portraying Maruthi Rao's character." It seems the makers want to encash the people's interest on this episode. When such films are made, filmmakers don't come up with the real names because the family members may raise objections. Late Maruthi Rao's family and Pranay's family appear to be not focusing on this film as they are occupied with other tensions and pressures. They are not raising objections towards this movie.
