Vinod NKR Posted April 11, 2017 Share Posted April 11, 2017 Kattappa of ‘Bahubali’ fame, Tamil actor Sathyaraj has posed difficulties for the release of ‘Bahubali Conclusion’ in Karnataka. Around 2,000 Kannada organisations led by ac-tivist Vatal Nagaraj are all set to stop the release of the movie across the state.Speaking to Bangalore Mirror of their decision, Vatal Nagaraj said, “We will not allow any theatre in Karnataka to screen Bahubali. We are not against the film, but against Sathyaraj who plays the character of Kattappa in Bahubali.”He went on to say that while all Tamil actors voiced their opinions over the sharing of Cauvery water and protested, Sathyaraj was particularly “de-rogatory”. “This man’s remarks crossed all decency limits. He spoke nonsense about Karnataka and Kannadigas. We too staged protests against Tamil Nadu, but not against the people,” he said.When the first part of Bahubali was re-released recently, activists approached theatre owners and requested them to ban the movie, and they considered it, according to Vatal Nagaraj. “We will storm theatres that may screen the upcoming movie, which is due for release on April 28,” he said.They may, though, reconsider their decision if the actor tenders an apology, according to Vatal Nagaraj. “But it will depend on the kind of apology he makes,” he said.Earlier, when superstar Rajinikanth had made similar statements against Karnataka, activists demanded an unconditional apology from him.
