AnnaGaru Posted October 31, 2016 Share Posted October 31, 2016 Data science and analytic centre opened in VIJAYAWADA The DELL-EMC combine has opened a data science and analytic centre in Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology (ALIET). Addressing a meeting organised in this connection, Abhijit Sreenivas, Marketing Manager of the company for India, Sri Lanka, Australia and New Zealand, said a DELL-EMC External Research and Alliance Programme was started for the benefit of students in the areas of research, education, mindshare and business development. “The idea is to focus on access to technology expertise across the eco-system. A special environment called Horizon watching which means exploration of disruptive and emerging technologies is also on the agenda,” he said. He said it was predicted that by 2018, 1.5 million data scientists were required globally and this number would go up to predictable 50 times the estimate. “The establishment of a Data Science Laboratory by DELL-EMC would certainly boost up the Vijayawada region making it one of the major hubs for Data Scientists,” he said. Director, ALIET, Francis Xavier, Assistant Director Thomas, Principal O. Mahesh and Placement Officer Edward Bear and other HoDs and faculty members were present. Now getting textile parks locally is making huge difference. Also govt is giving incentives for these parks and very soon SEZ status for C.peta texhtile parks. Similarly Godavari is known for Aqua but we don't have export processing and good storage units. Same with Food processing units CBN is talking where we export direct instead of someone doing it. Jaffa is dead against of these Agri/Aqua support units by CBN. sonykongara Posted November 10, 2016 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Apollo Tyres Confirmed for AP In a move that will bring in huge investment and consequent opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, leading tyre manufacturing company Apollo Tyres is planning to set up an all-new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. This investment would be of around 500 crores. The manufacturing facility would be established to produce tyres for two-wheelers and pick up vehicles. As of now, the required tyres are being manufactured by way of a third party. However, the proposed plan of a new facility will require entering into a memorandum of understanding with Andhra Pradesh government which is likely to happen in New Delhi on today. Apollo Tyres are seen making some big moves these days. Just this Wednesday, an R&D Centre for the company at Oragadam near Chennai was inaugurated. sonykongara Posted November 25, 2016 Share Posted November 25, 2016 ట్రైసిటీగా తిరుపతి-కృష్ణపట్నం-శ్రీసిటీ తిరుపతి, కృష్ణపట్నం, శ్రీసిటీలను ట్రసిటీలుగా అభివృద్ధి చేసి ‘మాన్యుఫాక్చరింగ్ హబ్’గా తీర్చిదిద్దుతామని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు స్పష్టం చేశారు. గతంలో అప్పటి ప్రాధాన్యతను అనుసరించి ఉమ్మడి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో హైదరాబాద్ ను ప్రపంచ ఐటీ చిత్రపటంలో నిలిపానని ఆయన గుర్తు చేశారు. నవ్యాంధ్రలో హార్డ్ వేర్ హబ్ గా మారుస్తానని ఆయన వివరించారు. ఐఓటీకి పెరిగిన ప్రాధాన్యతతో నాలుగో పారిశ్రామిక విప్లవాన్ని ముందుకు తీసుకెళతామని చెప్పారు. గురువారం సాయంత్రం సీఎంఓలో తనను కలసిన ఇండియన్ సెల్యులర్ అసోసియేషన్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ పంకజ్ మొహింద్రూ బృందంతో ఆయన మాట్లాడారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లో ఉత్పత్తి యూనిట్లను తెరిచే సెల్యులర్ కంపెనీలకు తగిన ప్రోత్సాహకాలిస్తామని అన్నారు. సెల్ ఫోన్లకు సంబంధించి మన దేశంలో ఛార్జర్, హ్యండ్ సెట్, బ్యాటరీలు తయారవుతున్నాయని, ఇంకా 20 రకాల అంతర్భాగాలు, మిగిలిన విడిభాగాల ఉత్పత్తి కూడా ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్‌లోనే జరగాలన్నది తన దృఢ సంకల్పమని చంద్రబాబు చెప్పారు. ప్రధాని మోడీ ఇచ్చిన డిజిటల్ ఇండియా పిలుపును అందుకున్న తొలి రాష్ట్రం తమదేనని, జనవరి నుంచి ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకంగా అమలుచేయనున్న ఫైబర్ గ్రిడ్ ప్రాజెక్టు ఇందులో భాగమేనని చెప్పారు. దేశంలో, రాష్ట్రంలో నోట్ల రద్దుతో నెలకొన్న ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితి త్వరలో సమసిపోతుంద్నారు. మొబైల్ బ్యాంకింగ్ అభివద్ధికి, నగదురహిత లావాదేవీలకు ఇదే మంచితరుణమని, ఈ అంశంలో ప్రజల్లో చైతన్యం కల్పిస్తున్నామని చంద్రబాబు తెలిపారు. ‘మొబైల్ ఫోన్ల ఉత్పత్తి కంపెనీలు పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టడానికి ఏపీ చక్కని గమ్యస్థానం నన్ను విశ్వసించి పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టండి. ఇక్కడ ఉత్పాదక యూనిట్లు తెరవండి. మీకు అన్ని రాయితీలతో సదుపాయాలు కల్పిస్తాం.’ అని సెల్యులర్ కంపెనీలకు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి విజ్ఞప్తిచేశారు. ఇండియన్ సెల్యులర్ అసోసియేషన్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ పంకజ్ మొహింద్రూ మాట్లాడుతూ భారత ప్రభుత్వ దిశానిర్దేశం మేర దేశంలో 2019 నాటికి 500 మిలియన్ల మొబైల్ హ్యండ్ సెట్లు తయారు చేయాలన్నది లక్ష్యమని చెప్పారు. తద్వారా పదిహేను లక్షల అదనపు ఉద్యోగావకాశాలు లభిస్తాయని అంచనా వేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. మనదేశం 2014లో 30 మిలియన్ల మొబైల్ ఫోన్ యూనిట్లను మాత్రమే ఎగుమతి చేయగలిగిందని, 2019 నాటికి 120 మిలియన్ యూనిట్ల ఎగుమతి లక్ష్యమని, రూ 50,000 కోట్ల బిజినెస్ టర్నోవర్ ఉంటుందని అంచనావేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలో అడాప్టర్లు, చార్జర్లు, బ్యాటరీ ప్యాకులు, వైర్డ్ హెడ్ సెట్స్ ఉత్పత్తి వేగం అందుకొంటోందని పంకజ్ మొహింద్రూ చెప్పారు. మొబైల్ ఫోన్ల ఉత్పత్తులపై పన్ను మినహాయింపులు ఇస్తే శరవేగంతో మొబైల్ ఫోన్ల తయారీ పరిశ్రమలు విస్తరిస్తాయని తెలిపారు. ఇప్పటికే దేశంలో అంతర్జాతీయ కంపెనీలైన పేరున్న ఫ్లెక్స్ ట్రానిక్స్, ఫ్యాక్స్ కాన్, కొంపాల్ (compal) ఉత్పత్తిని ఆరంభించాయన్నారు. ఈ కంపెనీలు Huawei, Vivo, Oppo బ్రాండ్లతో విక్రయాలు ప్రారంభభించి చెప్పారు. ప్రపంచంలో తయారయ్యే మొబైల్ ఫోన్లలో 82% చైనానుంచే తయారవుతున్నాయని, వాటి ధరలు ఎక్కువని పంకజ్ మొహింద్రూ అన్నారు. చైనాలో ఉత్పత్తి రంగం సమీపభవిష్యత్తులో భారత్ కు తరలివచ్చే అవకాశాలు ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నాయన్నది తమ అంచనా అని ఆయన వివరించారు. జీఎస్టీలో భాగంగా పన్ను విధానాన్ని అనుసరించి తమను ప్రోత్సహించాలని కోరారు. తగిన రాయితీలిస్తే దేశీయ కంపెనీలు మనగలుగుతాయని అన్నారు. సమావేశంలో కేంద్ర సహజవనరుల మంత్రిత్వ శాఖ కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ అజయ్ సహానీ, సీఎంఓ అదనపు కార్యదర్శి శ్రీ ప్రద్యుమ్న ఎఫ్.ఐ.హెచ్ మొబైల్ లిమిటెడ్ కంట్రీ హెడ్, ఎండీ జోష్ ఫౌల్జర్,తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు. Under the partnership with Development Commissioner Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Peter England has collaborated with handloom weavers from Mangalgiri in Andhra Pradesh to develop a 'India Handloom Brand' collection. "Authentic handloom products have always found resonance with Indian consumer. Weavers will get the right value and visibility in the mens fashion garments market for their quality fabrics through this partnership with Peter England and their direct sales channel," Irani said. Under the collaboration, initially an unique collection of shirts in 18-20 styles would be retailed at prices starting from Rs 1,699 across Peter England stores in Delhi and NCR. "We are presenting 17 designs today in this limited edition which are available in 15 Peter England stores in Delhi-NCR. We plan to expand our collection to 75 stores from current 15 across the country in the coming financial year. "We intend to procure 1 lakh metres of fabric from various clusters being developed and nurtured by India Handloom Brand," Manish Singhai, Brand Head-Peter England said. "Ministry of Textiles had done research about marketing of India Handloom Brand products. One of the major findings was that the product range has a very big gap for branded mens formals," Alok Kumar, Development Commissioner, Handlooms said.
