Vishal_Ntr
Crazy stupid move...practicality ki dooram ga undi....it gives 25 extra seat reservation to locals ...do all states have IITs where these linguistic reservations can be claimed. Isn't there a disparity. Anyways most lab technicians and professors speak those local languages, so it's not a big concerns for students to gradually pick up until they get familiar with English too. If they feel student studying upto xii class in mother tongue are at disadvantage... why can't they instead conduct exams in regional languages and teach English in 1st sem for students who want to learn as an extra course .... surendra.g
Thet are offering in regional launguage also, not stopping in English medium. Students who want to choose course English will still choose English. What's wrong offering in regional laungue!!

Second, they have to keep maintaining it for only a relatively less % of students opting for regional language medium. Third, students opting for regional language are putting themselves behind in the competition in real world.
