Husker Posted May 20, 2017 Share Posted May 20, 2017 Aamir Khan’s Dangal will soon create history by becoming the first ever Indian film to make a mark in the Top-50 All Time China grossers. The film is unstoppable even in its 3rd week in China and the collections are not showing any signs of slowing down.  Dangal has already collected 575 million Chinese Yuan, which is $83.24 million US Dollars or 541 crore Indian Rupees. The film will enter the Top 50 when it crosses the 760 million Yuan mark – which it could do before the end of its 3rd week.  Meanwhile, it’s worth pointing out here that Aamir Khan’s popularity in China has soared over the last couple of weeks. The superstar has become the most followed Indian on Chinese social networking website ‘Weibo’. It becomes the second ‘Indian’ film to gross $100 million in a single country, after ‘Bahubali 2’ which has grossed more than $100 million in India. First ever for an Hindi film. The footfalls of Dangal in China has crossed the 2 crore mark. It’s the first film to sell so many ticket in any country outside India. No other Hindi film except Dangal and Sultan sold more than 2 crore tickets even in the home country – India. Dangal has also beaten the lifetime collections of several Hollywood films and even the biggie ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2’ which ‘clashed’ with Dangal on the same day at the China box office. It has collected $92 million, while Dangal has crossed $100 million mark. The worldwide collections of Dangal has now crossed the Rs 1400 crore gross mark. Husker Posted May 22, 2017 Share Posted May 22, 2017 The unprecedented and historic run of Aamir Khan’s Dangal in China has meant that the blockbuster is now targeting records that truly justify the word – ‘unbelievable’.  The film has collected nearly Rs 730 crore in China and it recorded its best ever day on its 3rd Saturday (16th day) at the box office – collecting more than Rs 100 crore on a single day. This means the word-of-mouth is driving the film to insane levels of business and it could even add Rs 300 crore (nearly $50 million) or more to its total before the end of its run.  This would mean, Dangal will cross the Rs 1000 crore mark in China – a country where no other Indian film had previously crossed the Rs 125 crore mark. In fact, a film without Aamir Khan hasn’t even crossed the Rs 15 crore mark in China and here we have a film like Dangal that could do one thousand crores!  It also gives the film a fairly decent chance of grossing more than 2000 crore globally. Dangal has already grossed nearly 1500 crore. It’ll beat Bahubali in next 3-4 days and become the highest grossing Indian film of all time.  ‘Bahubali 2’ destroyed ‘Dangal’ at domestic box office recently. It’s Dangal’s turn now.
