Vihari Posted September 10, 2023 Share Posted September 10, 2023 సనాతన ధర్మం-దేవదాసివ్యవస్థ (in full support by so called upper caste) 1947 అక్టోబర్ 8 మద్రాస్ అసెంబ్లీలో సభ్యులు ఒ.పి. రామస్వామిరెడ్డియార్, ముత్తులక్ష్మిరెడ్డి దేవదాసినిర్మూలనచట్టం కోసం ఒక తీర్మానం ప్రవేశపెట్టారు. సభలో గందరగోళం ప్రారంభం అయ్యింది. సత్యమూర్తి అయ్యర్, శ్రీనివాస్ అయ్యర్, గోవిందరాఘవ అయ్యర్, శేషగిరి అయ్యర్ ల టీం ఇది సనాతనధర్మంకు విరుద్ధం,మతశాస్త్రాలకు వ్యతిరేకం అంటూ ఆందోళన చేశారు. రెండుపక్షాల ఆందోళనలో రాజాజీ మౌనం వహించాడు. సాయంత్రం ముత్తులక్ష్మి పెరియార్ ని సలహాకోసం కలిసింది. పెరియార్ సలహా ఇచ్చాడు. అక్టోబర్ 9 మరుసటి రోజు సభ ప్రారంభం కాగానే సత్యమూర్తి అయ్యర్ చర్చ ప్రారంభించారు. "దేవదాసిలు సనాతన ధర్మం, శాస్త్రాలతో దేవాలయంలో ఏర్పాటు చేయబడ్డ పరిచారికలు. దేవదాసిలు నేరుగా దైవ సేవకులు. వారు చేసే అన్నీ పవిత్రకార్యాలను బట్టి వారికి భగవంతుని సర్వఆశీస్సులు, సుఖభోగాలు లభిస్తాయి." అనేక శాస్త్ర నియమాలతో సుదీర్ఘంగా సాగిన సత్యమూర్తి అయ్యర్ ప్రసంగం అనంతరం లేచిన ముత్తులక్ష్మి అమ్మ లేచి ఇలా అంది....... "అయ్యర్ గారు చెప్పిన శాస్త్ర విషయాలతో ఏకీభవిస్తున్నాను. కానీ ఇన్ని వందల సంవత్సరాలనుండి మేము చేసిన సేవలకు మాకు దక్కిన శుభాశీస్సులు మాకు ఇక చాలు. ఇకపై ఇటువంటి పనులు చేయటం ద్వారా దైవాశీస్సులు లభిస్తాయి, ఇది సనాతన ధర్మం అని నమ్మే వారు మీ ఇంటి ఆడవాళ్ళని స్వచ్చందంగా దేవదాసీలుగా పంపవచ్చు" అంటూ ముగించాక మద్రాస్ అసెంబ్లీ "దేవదాసి నిర్మూలన చట్టాన్ని" ఆమోదించింది. అప్పటికి మద్రాస్ స్టేట్ లో వున్న రాయలసీమ, కోస్తా ఆంధ్ర ల్లోని మాతమ్మ, జోగిని వ్యవస్థ, మలబార్ ప్రాంతంలోని నంగా వ్యవస్థ, కన్నడ ప్రాంతంలోని బసివి రద్దు చేయబడ్డాయి. శాస్త్రాలు చెప్పాయని దేవుడితో కళ్యాణం జరిపించి వాళ్ళని వేశ్యలు మార్చి వాడుకుని 40 ఏళ్ల తర్వాత వేలం వేసే నీచ నికృష్ట ఆచారం వందలసంవత్సరాలనుండి సనాతనధర్మం పేరుతో ఆచరించేవారు. ఒక్క తంజావూరు టెంపుల్ లోనే రాజరాజాచోళుని కాలంలో 400 మంది పైగా దేవదాసిలు ఉండేవారు అని చరిత్ర. దేవదాసితల్లికి జన్మించిన డాక్టర్_ముత్తులక్ష్మిరెడ్డి (w/o డాక్టర్ సుందరరామిరెడ్డి ) పెరియార్ ఉద్యమఫలితంగా అనేక ప్రతికూల పరిస్థితులను ఎదిరించి చదువుకుని డాక్టర్ అయ్యింది. ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత అడయారుకేన్సర్_ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఫౌండర్ కూడా డాక్టర్ ముత్తులక్ష్మి గారే. But the blessings we have received for the services we have rendered in these hundreds of years are enough for us. Henceforth you will get divine blessings by doing such things, those who believe in Sanatana Dharma can voluntarily send your home wives as Devadasis" Madras assembly has passed the "Devadasi Eradication Act" after ending this. Rayalaseema in Madras state, Matamma in coastal Andhra, Jogini system, Nanga system in Malabar region, Basivi in Kannada region have been abolished. They have married God and used them as prostitutes and auctioned them after 40 years, after 40 years, the vile ritual that is being followed in the name of Sanatana Dharma. History says that in one Tanjore temple, there were more than 400 devadasis during the time of Raja Raja Cholu. Born to Devadasi talli, Dr_MuthulakshmiReddy (w/o Dr Sundararamireddy) became a doctor by defying many adversities due to Periyar movement. BJP cannot destroy it as it is stored in library of University of California. This book was published in 1916 by Benaras Hindu University...Not available now. All the copies got destroyed. One copy was available in the library of California University, which has been digitised by Microsoft. It is a beautiful introduction to Hinduism, without any school affiliations. It is especially suited to youth. You may go through at leisure. It has 304 pages and share it further with your known younger generation kids.
