In the last 3 years, Divided AP took another 70000 Cr debt for fulfilling various scemes like farmers loan waiver, Pension scemes, Construction of irrigation projects, infrastructure, to fulfill deficit, to pay 50% increased salary and pensions to govt. employees etc. So as of this date, AP holds around 1,95,000 Crores debt. http://www.thehansindia.com/posts/index/Andhra-Pradesh/2017-03-16/APs-overall-debt-burden-set-to-increase/287217 TG:- Telangana kachara govt. got 70000 Cr debt on division day (june 2, 2014). Entire interest payments on this 35000 Cr was paid by AP only as TG refused to pay for it. So in 2017 AP government finally did hands up. Then central govt divided this finally.
