This work of phase-1 was announced in Aug 2016 by CBN himself on independence day of Aug 2016. in Phase-1, 2.5 TMC ft of Krishna water is diverted from Jeedipalli Reserviour to Bhairavani Thippa Reservoir. Targetted ayacut with this irrigation water of BT project is 30000 Acres. 60 Km length of canal with lifts in 8 places is constructed in both Phase-1 & Phase-2. 29 kms of canal from jeedipalli to upponka village is constructed in Phase-1 including 8 lifts. 30 kms of canal from upponka village to Bhairavani Tippa reservoir is planned in Phase-2. Water from upponka to BT reservoir flows with gravity alone. so no need of lifts in this phase-2. Note:- Currently BT project is dry since 15 years. Rayalaseema lo anni places ki water ichhi, konni industries teesuku vasthe they will stay in their place. Temporary solution is Krishna water to max. places & permanent solution is Godavari-Penna linkage. Hope TDP take them up on priority. ATP lo sricity lanti SEZ lu 4 pedithe 80% employment issue teeruthundi. KIA is the major company. mana jaggadu aa kia ki problem create seyyakapothe devudi daya valana many companies will start arriving just by looking at kia.
