This fondness for publicity is never going to do any good to the nation. People should conduct themselves with utmost responsibility. If anybody considers himself above the system, it is wrong. My experience with Rajan has been good and I appreciate the work that he has done. He is no less patriotic. He loves India. Wherever he will work, he will work for India and he is patriotic.. Sr Fan Posted June 27, 2016 Share Posted June 27, 2016 Leave fair or unfair from the point of contention here for a moment.......Modi may be far more shrewd politician than Swamy, but in this case it wont help him in rebuking publicly.......Swamy is a sort of a person, if he gets pissed off, will unload in a barrage, he has plenty of things to go against Modi..... In some issues about Modi's administration, Swamy is not too far from Arun shourie, only difference- the lawyer-politician is biting his tongue where as journalist-politician is speaking out loud......... All in all, not a wise move from Modi....Sure he would have taken back his public displeasure had he gotten enough time to think through well before speaking, considering the possible ramifications from a scorned swamy with a significant loyal band of followers...... Why Modi, coming out now , after all practical purposes, it has no meaning?..... Rajan has withdrawn his candidature for the continuation of the post .... Here is the wily gear of Modi's mechanics in action..... What is that? He would not care less about Rajan, his actual bone of contention is about the digs from Swamy against his loyal Jaitley......Instead of directly defending Jaitley, Modi used this indirect route, appearing to be apolitical in defending Rajan but in reality it is not for that purpose......Get it? But as explained above, it is too expensive to antagonize swamy politically.......Ask a BJP loyalist, if push comes to shove, who do they trust more in being candid........Swamy beats Modi in that criterion, eventhough PM is popular in BJP ranks........ Swamy whether brilliant/or hasty......his staunch enemies also wont generally question his sincerity behind his statements....... Where as Modi - disciplined politician, not hasty ....leave his enemies, even his allies wont believe what his exact intention is......Shrewd, but wont come across as straight forward.....
