Kobelco Plate Processing India, as a core member of the $2.49-billion Kobe Steel Group, Japan, with more than 40,000 employees worldwide, is a service provider of fabrication of Mild Steel plates. The company had set up its plant in this industrial park in 2013. Piolax India, a subsidiary of the $29.5 million Piolax Japan, is a manufacturer of auto components including coil springs, flat springs,wire forms, metal/plastic fasteners set up its unit in 2012. The company supplies its products to Nissan, joint ventures of Ashok Leyland-Nissan and Renault-Nissan and Honda among others. Both the companies have inaugurated their new facilities on Wednesday. Commenting on the occasion, Ravindra Sannareddy, founder managing director, Sri City said: "We are very glad as both Kobelco and Piolax are growing and expanding and continuing to invest here in Sri City. In fact this is the second unit expansion by Kobelco Group, following the expansion of its crane unit, within in an year. sonykongara Posted September 3, 2016 Author Share Posted September 3, 2016 Sri City to bring developers to build housing projects in the industrial park The integrated business park spread over 7,000 acres has estimated potential of 50,000 housing units After achieving critical mass in terms of number of factories and people employed in them, Sri City, an integrated business park spread across 7,000 acres in SEZ and domestic tariff area , is now focusing on social infrastructure led by residential development with an estimated potential of 50,000 housing units. "We will be roping in developers to construct houses with sizes starting from single bed room to four-bedrooms as we are looking at providing walk to work environment within Sri City for all categories of employees. We are also planning to bring more number of educational institutions, skill development centers among other social infrastructure to provide a complete ecosystem in the business park," Sri City managing director Ravindra Sannareddy told Business Standard on Friday. Located 55 km north of Chennai on National Highway 5 in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Sri City is already home to 142 companies. The manufacturing facilities of 90-odd companies are already in operation providing employment to about 25,000 people while the rest of the companies are at various stages of building their plants here. About 100 foreign companies from 26 different countries have established their operations in this private industrial park. This list includes companies from diverse sectors such as Japanese vehicle manufacturer ISUZU, American chocolate manufacturer Mondelez, French company Alstom, which is building coaches at Sri City for Chennai Metro, Italian steel plant equipment manufacturer Danieli, Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer Foxconn among several others. Close proximity to Chennai, being closer to port facilities in both the states of AP and Tamil Nadu, national highway facility, quality infrastructure and services being offered by the industrial park management were considered as some of the important factors that contributed to the success of this industrial park. "We have recently completed the first batch of 100 houses. Currently we are entering tie-ups with various developers to start different housing projects for different categories of people working here, starting from workers to the level of top executives," Sannareddy said. In addition to the existing International Institute of Information Technology(IIIT), Sri City will also have a number of other educational institutions and skill development facilities required by the future residents along with the expansion of housing facilities over a period of time, according to him. The unit will be manufacturing wheelchairs for hospitals. They also have plans for expansions in the near future. The Tata Toyo plant has been developed on a 5-acre plot in the Domestic Tariff Zone at an initial investment of around ₹10 crore. Factory expansion The factory will be expanded in phases and providing employment opportunity for about 60 persons. In Sri City, the factory will manufacture radiators and condensers, according to a statement from Sri City. Hiroyasu Miura, Chairman and Managing Director of Isuzu Engineering Business Centre and Hiromi Kano, President, Toyo Radiator (also knon as T.RAD Co. Ltd.), unveiled the plaque. Miura said: “Tata AutoComp, along with T.RAD, has always tried to be at the forefront in offering cutting-edge technologies to their esteemed customers. It is advantageous to locate the plant in the close vicinity of OEMs.” Kano said their partnership with Tata AutoComp is growing and adding more products in its portfolio. Tata AutoComp, incorporated in 1997 in Pune, along with its joint venture partner T.RAD of Japan, manufactures radiators, intercoolers, heater cores among other products. sonykongara Posted September 30, 2017 Author Share Posted September 30, 2017 శ్రీ సిటీ టు సిడ్నీ... సిడ్నీ మెట్రో కోసం చిత్తూర్ లో తయారైన ఆటోమేటిక్ రైలు... చిత్తూరు జిల్లా, శ్రీసిటీ పారిశ్రామిక పార్కులోని ఆల్స్టామ్ ఇండస్ట్రీలో తయారైన మెట్రో రైలు బోగీలను, ఆస్ట్రేలియాలోని సిడ్నీకి సరఫరా చేశారు. ఆల్స్టామ్ తమ మొదటి మెట్రోపాలిస్ రైలును, రౌస్ హిల్ డిపోకి సరఫరా చేసినట్టు సిడ్నీ మెట్రో ప్రకటించింది. 6 కోచ్ లు ఉన్న రైలును ఆల్స్టామ్, చిత్తూరు జిల్లా, శ్రీ సిటీ లో నిర్మించింది. 2014 సెప్టెంబరులో, సిడ్నీ మెట్రో 280 మిలియన్ యూరోల ఒప్పందం కుదుర్చుకుంది. Alstom’s Urbalis 400 communications-based train control (CBTC) సిగ్నలింగ్ వ్యవస్థ ద్వారా, ఆటోమేటిక్ రైలు ప్రొటెక్షన్ & ఆటోమేటిక్ రైలు ఆపరేషన్ (ATP/ATO)విధానాల ద్వారా, ఈ రైలు ఆటోమేటిక్ గా ఆపరేట్ అవుతుంది. ఆల్స్టామ్ వివరించిన దాని ప్రకారం, మూడు డబల్ డోర్స్, లగేజ్ పెట్టుకోవటానికి రెండు వరసలు ఉంటాయి. ఈ ఎయిర్ కండిషన్డ్ రైలుకి, 38 సిసి కెమెరాలు, అత్యవసర ఇంటర్కాంమ్ వ్యవస్థ, రెండు ప్రయాణీకుల సమాచార ప్రదర్శన వ్యవస్థలు, 6 లైవ్ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్ రూట్-మ్యాప్లు ఉంటాయి. బొగీలను అత్యాధునికంగా రూపొందించిన ఆల్స్టామ్ యాజమాన్యాన్ని, చక్కని మౌళిక వసతులతో పరిశ్రమలకు ప్రోత్సాహమిస్తున్న శ్రీసిటీ యాజమాన్యాన్ని సిడ్నీ మెట్రో అభినందించింది. వందకు పైగా విదేశీ పరిశ్రమలతో అభివృద్ది చెందుతున్న శ్రీసిటీ మేకిన్ ఇండియా ఉద్యమానికి దేశానికే ఆదర్శంగా, స్ఫూర్తిగా నిలుస్తుంది.
