They focus more on demographics and financial parameters and cut down subsidies and populist measures. This govt cannot be compared with ABV's one. That is a league away. while this govt's intention is yet to be known, as of now they seem to be focused on building a base for future course of action. I am not talking about allocation to states and all which are obviously politically motivated.. in a broader view, BJP is going down on subsidies, populist measures that empty the treasury and looking towards building something that generates income and employment. This is stark opposite of what congress does in the name of socialism. But one thing is that Modi hasn't been as much corporate boy as he was portrayed. This kind of govt will not be encouraged by people after a point of time. They need results instantly or in a year or so. But nation building process takes time.
