Not recently, applied few years back.

Undisputed worst web app experience of my life. Just horrible.

I heard it got little better now.

Tips based on my experience:

1. Try to have low resolution pdf files instead of regular size.

2. Finger print of the child is a big nuance, just be careful with it 

3. Just be extremely extremely extremely patient with it.

Annaai! Start with VFS. Fingerprint easy process Enti antey, use a marker or katuka first on paper then use baby finger. But Mee kid infant kadu kabatti, should be good.

21 days usually. sometimes holidays or other public events unte 1 month. VFS is very quick in processing. actually they do good job. edaina document correct seyali ante valle review lo email chesttharu sedn that document ani. very easy process. mana tholu mandam desis ki adi artham kaadu.

Antha pedda sodi guru oci process, I’ve decided to take visa when needed. Unless you’re planning some kind of investment on their name, it’s of no use at this time. My 2 cents! I could be wrong 😑

Experience from a couple of years ago..

first you need to apply for renunciation of Indian citizenship . Send the passport to nearest Indian consulate.

They will cancel the passport , puncture the passport cover page and send it back to you.

Subsequently you would apply for OCI . The application is simple . All they need is USA passport copy and Indian citizenship renunciation proof. but the uploading documents section on that webpage is horrible. It makes us bang the head onto the wall . It keeps on complaining about the size if the documents, photos. 🤪

However, I strongly suggest getting OCI, rather than keep on applying for e-visa every time.
