Technically SpaceX was founded first and then tesla a year later.. tesla also didn't see profits until 2020. Meantime, though spacex was not profitable.. with successful falcon, they secured nasa contracts, third party funding.. they made profits 1st quarter this year.. they are valued around $150B.. currently selling private shares.. and planning to go IPO once it is self sustaining with enough cashflow.. starlink will boost its revenue as it is operational and many aircraft and commerical companies planning to onboard satellite based connectivity.
