he agreed for 20million a year which is half his current salary and barca couldn't pay it....

100 million euros was his previous salary, right now he agreed for 50 million euros but barca couldnt afford it. PSG are offering 65 million euros now.

He wants to leave last year as he was not happy with the team and management  …this year he wants to stay…he was happy with last year signings and new signings like  de jong, depay, griezmann aguero dest etc..recent copa win gave new energy to him….and eager to start new contract..even agreed for 50 % pay cut to stay… leaving barca is not at all his plan…

how can you say he  pushed barca to let him go?

He doesn’t want to leave this season & even decided to take 50% wage cut; Laporta seems to knew all the way that re-signing Messi is not easy & financially will be very difficult for the wage bill;

With Messi, the wage bill is 115% of Barca Revenues & without it is 95%. As per La Liga, the cap is 70% I believe;  Barca knew Messi will be financial burden now, on top they won’t be challenging for the titles with out major signings; So convince & let him go; For fans sake they blame La Liga rules & Tebas for being stringent and bending rules.

Lionel Messi reportedly has an Argentina priority clause in his PSG contract.

Messi’s contract with PSG apparently has a hint of Argentina in it. Per a report by TyC Sports, Lionel Messi has a clause in his contract which stipulates that the Argentina national team take priority.

According to the report, Lionel Messi has a clause in his PSG contract which states that the Argentina national team would be his priority when it comes to playing official matches and friendly games.

In addition, the Argentina staff would have access to PSG’s facilities.

This would mean should PSG have a match that is close to the international break, Messi could choose to play for Argentina without any problems.
