AnnaGaru
How did we all miss this Central govt foolishness in giving Environmntal cleanrence for India's BIGGEST polluter ... NGT ordered govt's to close many OLD plants(Even DElhi plants are asked to close) and strictly rejecting any new plants with violations Another example of Central Govt worst hijacking/favoritism rush/hold with their political mindset of Major Environement clearances. How Center can give permissions to 4000MW(biggest in India) just like that without checking RESERVOIR and River impacts???? India Green Tribunals given clear indications that THermal power plants are becoming death sentences for Rivers/Reservoirs&people 4000 MW means it is major permission...How the center given permission without checking other neighbors as per rules??? Shame on Modi govt for giving Environment clearances for Nuclear&Major thermal plant but hold it for 100 acres Forest land conversion for 4 years for Capital See the location and it is going to pollute not just that area but crores of people drinking water http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=16.694243&lon=79.596291&z=12&m=b&search=nalgonda How come a THERMAL PLANT 4000 mW capacity is given permission near 3 major reservoirs - Nagarjuna sagar tailpond RESERVOIR is just next to the plant - Krishna River is < 5 KM from the plant(It seems they are bulding plant on RIver bed if I am correct) - Musi river is hardly 1-2 KM distance - Kongala river(major riverlet in that area is just flowing next to Plant - PULICHINTALA reservoir gets water from these tributaries that are going to polluted - SAGAR left canal originates very close to this plant and goes through Nalgonda,Khammam - MAndapadu/Pulichintala reserve forest is just few KM away and they did check any of these - KRISHNA RIVER bed is lowed than Thermal plant and will get ASH deposits into reservoir /*****compared to these this is 20-30 times worse impact******/ https://lokhitsamiti.wordpress.com/tag/national-green-tribunal/ http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/kolkata/green-tribunal-says-no-to-thermal-power-plant-at-nayachar/article7660577.ece http://www.hindustantimes.com/delhi-news/polluting-badarpur-power-plant-to-shut-down-by-july-31-next-year/story-x4ZoD6awd8nblgo4ALa5fN.html http://www.livemint.com/Politics/tMH9xtqOyPwDH27XjcSPZO/NGT-raps-MoEF-over-emission-standards-for-thermal-power-plan.html Just for 10 KM distance NGT canceled Thermal plant permission for Nayachar /***** Nayachar Island is within 10 km of Sundarbans Biosphere Reserve which is one of the world’s richest in terms of Modiversi ***/

On VTPS also NGT commented we will not let these happen in future explains bro what these plants does Already VTPS polluting whole area gound water and found high levels of poison contents .... only little saving grace is VTPS has wind&ground pollution direction away from River towards otherside... But in this case whole RIVER&RESERVOIRS will become poison as the direction and ground of River bed is lower than plant

This monster will probably need 3000 acres for ash pond itself. VPTS ash pond
