Saudi is home to Islam's most holy places Makkah & Madina.  I lived there for almost 8 years and there is no barbarism exists now.  Infact.... teleeni manishini... Mohammed perutho sambodhistaaru... until they knew his actual name.  Aaa vidhamga culture ni prabhavitham chesaaru Prophet akkada.  But, due to the unemployment problems... mellaga problems start avutunnaayi & as Jaithra bro told already... some people disrespect Indian & Pakistani muslims too out of Racism as they feel that they are Arabs.  However, Prophet clearly told that No Arab holds any kind of supremacy on the others only because he born as Arab.  Still some feel like that & do harass indian and pakistani muslims.  But, as everywhere.... good people also exist there & they treat them just as fellow muslim and not as a non-arab.  Secondly, Saudi is single country and not a area name.  In Saudi Shariah is successful almost.  No Theatres, No Alcohol, Less percentage of Rapes & Thefts, but one disadvantage... no political activity too.... as its Kingdom. Â Mostly other countries are not following Shariah there as strictly as Saudi follows. Â They apply it partly in some cases & their own law in some cases.... and in some cases Shariah is purely personal for them. Â But, Saudi is not like that.
