Simha Marni
The highest ODI score successfully chased by a team without loosing any wickets is 221 runs. West Indies thumped Pakistan by 10 Wickets in the fourth match of Benson & Hedges World Cup, 1992, at Melbourne. However three batsmen were involved in the run chase, as Brian Lara got retired hurt when score was 175/0 and the rest of the job was finished by Desmond Haynes and Richie Richardson. Simha Marni
West Indies dashing opener Desmond Haynes(148 vs Aus in 1978 and 115 vs Eng in 1994) and England opener Dennis Amiss(103 vs Aus in 1972 and 108 vs Aus in 1977) are the only two batsmen to have scored centuries in their first and last ODIs. Simha Marni
Wasim Jaffer started of the test series with a pair but Indian skipper Rahul Dravid kept faith in him as he went onto score a hundred in the second test against Bangladesh at Dhaka in 2007. Thus he became the 15th player to make a hundred after bagging a pair in the previous Test.

Simha Marni
In the fourth test of South Africa's tour of Australia at Adelaide, in 1932, visitors posted 308 in the first innings. In reply, Australian total amounted to 513, with Don Bradman remaining undefeated until the end. In his attempt to reach his 300th run, the batsman at other end was run-out. Thus Bradman's score stood as 299 not out!!!
Simha Marni
In reply to Aussies 1st innings 200/9 Dec., England after loosing nine wickets for 76, also declared its 1st innings as the wicket is very "sticky" and difficult to bat on. So for the first time in Test cricket each side declared its first innings!!! This rare and startling incident took place in the third test of England's Ashes tour of Australia at Melbourne in 1937. Sir Don Bradman and Sir Gubby Allen were the respective skippers.
