Robin Peterson, South Africa's low order all rounder, is the first batsman to get run-out facing a free-hit in T20s. After he was caught at long-on, he began to walk away, thinking he was out and then Harbhajan dislodged the bails!!!

It is the first ever Twenty 20 International match for India in which it won by six wickets with 1 ball to spare!!!

Willie Watson, New Zealand pace bowler, was on a hat-trick in an ODI match, when rain ended Australia's innings - Watson had only the last ball of the over to deliver.

This incident took place in the first match between New Zealand and Australia in Benson & Hedges World Series, at Sydney, in 1990.

The fastest hundred in a test match is held by Sir Vivian Richards who reached three figures in just 56 balls. He achieved this feat against England, which had likes of Ian Botham, in the final test of Wisden Trophy at Antigua , in 1986.

His blazing century(110* in 58 balls) included Seven 4's and Seven 6's.

In India tour of Pakistan in 1989, the first ODI is abandoned due to poor light and an exhibition match of 20 overs per side was played to please the public.

In that game, Young Sachin Tendulkar, made 53 runs of just 18 balls, including an over in which he scored 28 runs off Abdul Qadir(6,4,0,6,6,6).

"First-class cricket" refers to the Test cricket sort of matches with three or more days scheduled duration.

Test cricket, although the highest standard of major cricket, is itself a form of first-class cricket, although the term "first-class" is commonly used to refer to domestic competition only. A player's first-class statistics include his performances in Test matches too.

First-class teams are usually representative of a geopolitical region such as an English county, an Australian state or a West Indian nation.

In Pakistan's tour of India in 2005, India made 407 in first innings and declared 407/9 in second innings in the second test match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This remains the highest "duplicate" score by a team in a test match.

The other memorable incident is that Sachin Tendulkar joined 10000 Club in the same match.

The longest innings played without scoring a run is 101 minutes, which is held by New Zealand speedster Geoff Allot against SA, at Auckland, in 1999. This genuine No. 11 batsman joined Chris Harris with the follow-on target still over a hundred runs off, played 77 balls without making a single run.

It's worth mentioning that he led wicket-takers list(20 Wickets) along with Shane Warne in 1999 World Cup in England.

In the Australia's tour of England in 1930, Sir Donald Bradman amassed 309* runs in the first day of third test of Ashes Trophy at Leeds.

He remains the only Test player to pass 300 in one day's play. He went on to score his career best of 334 which was then a world-record of highest score by a batsman in test cricket.

The fastest half century in International cricket accounts to Yuvraj Singh(12 balls), which he achieved against England in inaugural Twenty20 World Cup at Durban in 2007.

His destructive innings of 58 runs in just 16 balls included a Six-Pack(6 Sixes) in 19th over of India innings, which is another world record.

In the Second Test of Frank Worrell Trophy between WI and Aus at Barbados in 1978, a batsman entered the ground with White Shell kind of object around his head when the spectators booed him.

The player is none other than Graham Yallop, who created a piece of history by being the first batsman to appear in a Test match wearing a protective helmet. He was prompted to wear a helmet following a blow to the jaw in a tour match.

In that series of four Tests, the Australia middle-order batsman scored three half-centuries, accumulating 317 runs at 45.29.

An ODI between England and West Indies in Prudential Trophy in 1976, witnessed weird Run-"Not out" which baffled players, spectators and even umpires.

Michael Holding's throw from long leg hit the keeper's end stumps with batsman(Graham Barlow) well in the crease. He immediately called other batsmen(Alan Knott) for second run. However, the ball rolled down the pitch and hit the stumps at the bowler's end with both batsmen in mid-pitch. There was a pause for a few seconds before Clive Lloyd(WI then captain), seeing the bails off at the both ends appealed to Umpire Jepson who was also confused and gave "not out" to either batsmen.

For the first time in Test cricket, three pairs of brothers - the Flowers(Andy & Grant), Rennies(Gavin & John) and Strangs(Paul & Bryan) - played in the same team, while the twelfth man was Andy Whittall, cousin of Guy Whittal.

This "Happy Families Test" was the first test of New Zealand Tour of Zimbabwe that took place at Harare , in 1997.
