Bajrangi Bhaijaan has shown fantastic growth in business on Day 2 at the domestic box office. The Ramadan period is over and Muslim audience are back in theatres to watch Salman Khan’s latest release.

As per early estimates, the film has collected around 35-36 crore. At some centres, the film has grown by around 45-50% and at other places, where the Ramadan effect is not huge, the growth was lesser.

The film is heading for a weekend total of 95 crore+ and could touch the 100 crore mark if the ‘super strong’ word-of-mouth, translates into further growth in business on Sunday.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Box Office Collections

  • Friday – 27.25 crore
  • Saturday – 35-36 crore (could be higher)

Bajrangi Bhaijaan has done well in its first weekend at the box office, collecting Rs 103-104 crore in 3 days.

The film has done outstanding business on Sunday, collecting around 39-40 crore, as per early estimates.

In fact, Bajrangi Bhaijaan would have comfortably crossed the 40 crore mark if multiplex business was at the same level as Saturday. (If the following day is a working day, business at late night shows tends to show normal drops, which was the case with Bajrangi Bhaijaan too on Sunday.)

Almost every centre, every circuit has done outstanding business. Including the South Indian and Mumbai circuit, which started well, but has grown from strength to strength over the weekend. Business has well and truly peaked on Sunday, which has helped the film cross the 100 crore mark in just 3 days.

Weekend collections of 2015 films. Bajrangi Bhaijaan has more than doubled the collections of ABCD 2. In fact, one Bajrangi Bhaijaan is comparable to the combined business of big movies like ‘Gabbar Is Back’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘Baby’!

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is Salman Khan’s 8th consecutive 100 crore film

After Aamir Khan, Salman Khan was the second lead actor in the industry to cross the 100 crore mark. His 2010 release ‘Dabangg’ opened to record-breaking numbers and took just 10 days to join the 100 crore club.

Since then, the ‘blockbuster Khan’ has been on a dream run at the box office, arguably the most successful run in the history of Indian Cinema.

All of his last 8 films have crossed the 100 crore mark and looking at his ever-growing craze all over the country and outside, the record for most consecutive 100 crore grossers is likely to grow even further.

In fact, 6 of his last 7 films were blockbusters or better and the 8th film too is likely to end with a similar verdict.

Check out the full list of 100 crore grossers of Salman Khan and the days his films took to join the club!

Dabangg (2010) – 10 days

Ready (2011) – 14 days

Bodyguard (2011) – 7 days

Ek Tha Tiger (2012) – 5 days

Dabangg 2 (2012) – 6 days

Jai Ho (2014) – 10 days

Kick (2014) – 5 days

Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) – 3 days

Bajrangi Bhaijaan Pakistan Box Office Collections: Takes the country by storm!

Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has collected around 1.5 crore PKR (Rs 95 lakhs approx) on Eid day, including paid previews on Friday.

The collections are lower than films like Dhoom 3 and Happy New Year, but Bajrangi Bhaijaan was competing against Yasir Nawaz’s ‘Wrong No’ (distributed by ARY films) and Momina Duraid’s ‘Bin Roye’ (distributed by Hum Films).

Inspite of tough competition from local releases, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was the first choice for the Pakistani audience at cinemas, as the film collected more than the two Pakistani films combined. Trade sources in Pakistan say, Bajrangi Bhaijaan also had the highest number of shows this week.

Early reports on Sunday suggest that the film could cross the PKR 3 crore mark today, as the film is running at high occupancies of 90% plus from morning. The weekend business will be somewhere in the PKR 3.75 crore range.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan has also performed equally well at other overseas territories and has emerged as the highest weekend grosser for Salman Khan in just 2 days.
