It is a good statement if investment returns are criterion. But how many farmers knew what are companies? What about emotional attachment these farmers have with their lands? If CBN wants to build a capital near Vijayawada, lands are available in some areas. But, he wants to build a riverfront capital. It may be difficult for CBN to get lands according to his whims. It is the duty of Government to clarify the doubts of farmers. It is the duty of Government to convince farmers as they had bad experiences with politicians. +1 CBN wanted to apply a carrot and stick policy to bring the farmers in line with govt policy.....not sure how far he will be able to succeed if he yields the stick....it may be counter-productive too.. We have bad experiences not just with politicians alone....we have a stubborn and corrupt bureacracy which cannot be trusted...and not so much of a reliable partner to work with..
