A man jumped off the 20th floor balcony of his apartment at 3:00 PM on a Sunday. The police got called immediately and two officers arrived at the scene at around 3:07 PM. They found the man's body, badly mangled due to the fall. In his pocket, his wallet had details like his name, address etc. The two officers rushed to his apartment. The door was locked, so they opened it with a lock pick. Inside, everything looked normal. Tidy apartments, a few dirty dishes in the sink, lots of pictures on the wall, a book shelf with number of sci-fi & fantasy novels. The living room had a coffee table and sitting right in the middle of the coffee table was a small tape recorder, right next to a copy of Lord of the Rings. One of the officers picked up the tape recorder and pressed play. It started with the man introducing himself and then proceeded to tell about his sad lonely life. The audio suicide note ended with the man claiming he could take it no longer and then the officer's heard him walk towards the balcony and his scream as he jumped off the balcony. One of the police officers immediately called the station and said, "This looks like a murder." What made him suspect it to be a murder?

What cud be the answer?

If the man had committed suicide the officer would have had to rewind the tape , as it would have still been recording if the man turned it on and committed suicide . Just pressing play would not have worked . Someone else had to rewind it and leave it so that if you just press play his suicide note is there

Someone should have rewound the tape for it to play from the start....so adhi answer...

We all thought similarly...but rewind ane concept marchipoyaa nenu

ya all thought about record/ stop mode only but in magnetic tapes / cassettes rewind mode is not automated & it should be done manually ..... i guess our digital age where we grew up distracted because it's all cd's/ drives for us since last 10-12 years    :D
