One of the plans is to garner public support. It was for this purpose that Jagan's sister Sharmila has undertaken an arduous pada yatra across the state. By gaining public support, YSR family members want to intimidate the Congress leadership and force it to surrender. Simultaneously, the family members are also lobbying in Delhi to secure Jagan's release. Vijaxxxxx who has gone to Delhi and met the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh earlier, has undertaken a similar mission once again with Jagan's wife Bharati. It is learnt that Vijaxxxxx and Bharati have camped in New Delhi for two days and secretly lobbied for the release of Jagan. The two have carefully avoided the prying eyes of the media and reportedly met several Congress leaders. Media about their Delhi visit only after they returned to Hyderabad on Friday. Now scribes started probing into what the two had done in Delhi. Some reports said that the Vijaxxxxx and her daughter-in-law returned to Hyderabad by Indian Airlines flight on Friday. In a setback to MP and president of YSR Congress Party, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, popularly know as Jagan, the Andhra Pradesh High Court today ordered a preliminary inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into allegations of corruption and misuse of power during his father's tenure as chief minister involving three of his companies. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Nisar Ahmed Kakru and Justice Vishal Afjalpurkar directed the CBI to conduct the preliminary inquiry within two weeks while admitting the complaints of three persons, including state textile minister P Shankar Rao and Telugu Desam Party MP Y Yerram Naidu, as writ petitions in the case.
