He also made a fresh demand for the party to change its stand on Telangana. Reddy, created flutter in the party by dashing off a letter to party president N Chandrababu Naidu criticising the party’s attitude in the Speaker’s election. In an informal chat with reporters here today, Reddy claimed that around 40 MLAs congratulated him for exposing the party’s stand. `A large number of MLAs are supporting my viewpoint within the party,’’ he said. He said that he would stand by the contents in the letter to Naidu. He further wanted the party to change its stand on Telangana. ``Though the party took a pro-Telangana stand it won only 50 seats in the T-region. TDP failed to win majority seats. Because of its pro-T stand the party suffered heavily in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions,’’ he reasoned. If the party did not retract to its earlier stand of unified Andhra, it would cost the party heavily, Prasanna Kumar Reddy cautioned. He dismissed the reports that he would join the Congress. Reddy also dismissed the reports that he was angry with the party for not including him in the TDLP committee.
