Andy Murray has a new fluffy friend to comfort him at the hospital, and it's just about as big as the 6'3” Scot. Murray received a β€œget well soon” teddy bear from Stan Wawrinka and his girlfriend, WTA player Donna Vekic.

β€œBig thanks to @stanwawrinka85 and @donnavekic for the get well soon teddy bear,” Murray wrote on Instagram on Thursday. β€œIt's absolutely huge. My kids will be fighting over this when I get home! #stantheman”.

Murray underwent hip resurfacing surgery on his right hip on Monday in London. The former World No. 1 now has a metal hip and posted an X-ray photo of it to his Instagram account.

The 31-year-old initially underwent right hip surgery in January 2018 and returned to competitive tennis six months later, playing a total of 15 tour-level matches. Murray fell in the first round of the Australian Open to eventual quarter-finalist Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain.

Delpo, Rafa To Miss Miami Open

The Miami Open presented by Itau will be without two Top 5 players when the tournament begins Wednesday.

No. 2 Rafael Nadal (right knee) and No. 5 Juan Martin del Potro (right knee) will miss the month's second ATP Masters 1000 tournament. Del Potro also missed the BNP Paribas Open, where he won the 2018 title for his first Masters 1000 (d. Federer).

The Argentine fractured his right patella at the Rolex Shanghai Masters last October and is still rehabbing the injury.

Nadal reached the semi-finals in Indian Wells but had to withdraw from his semi-final against Roger Federer because of pain in his right knee.

The Spaniard expects to return at Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, the season's first clay-court ATP Masters 1000 tournament. Nadal has won the tournament 11 times.
