Bucks reportedly trade for Crowder

Veteran forward Jae Crowder was reportedly dealt from the Phoenix Suns to the Brooklyn Nets inΒ the Kevin Durant tradeΒ just hours ago. Apparently, he is on the move again. Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Crowder is heading to the Milwaukee Bucks for five second-round picks. Additionally, the Indiana Pacers are in the trade and will acquire Jordan Nwora and Serge Ibaka from Milwaukee and will also waive big man Goga Bitadze.

Bucks receive:Β

  • Jae Crowder

Nets receive:Β

  • Five second-round picks

Pacers receive:Β

  • Jordan Nwora
  • Serge Ibaka
  • Two second-round picks

Crowder was coveted by several teams as the trade deadline approached because of his ability to defend on the perimeter and deliver timely scoring. He has not played in a game this season, but was a key part of Phoenix’s team that reached the NBA Finals in 2021 and had the NBA’s best regular season record in 2021-22.

Lakers reportedly pick up Bamba

The Los Angeles Lakers’ trade-centric makeover continued Thursday with a reported deal with the Orlando Magic,Β per multiple reports. In the swap, the Lakers acquire former lottery pick Mo Bamba from the Magic for Patrick Beverley, a future second-round pick and cash.

Lakers receive:Β

  • Mo Bamba

Magic receive:Β

  • Patrick Beverley
  • Future second-round pick
  • Cash considerations

Bamba is a solid interior defender and is averaging 1.0 bpg this season and 1.4 bpg for his career. His addition to the Lakers paired with the reported move to pick up Jarred Vanderbilt from Utah in a three-team trade gives Los Angeles additional size and heft in the middle as it makes a Play-In Tournament push.
