గురజాల: గుంటూరు జిల్లా గురజాల మండలంలో రాత్రి నుంచి భారీ వర్షం కురిసింది. భారీ వర్షాల కారణంగా గురజాలలోని దండి వాగు ఉద్ధృతికి మాచర్ల-గుంటూరు రైల్వే ట్రాక్‌ అర కిలోమీటరు మేర కొట్టుకు పోయింది. గురజాల గేట్‌హల్ట్‌ సమీపంలోని దండివాగు ప్రవాహానికి ట్రాక్‌పై వరద నీరు ప్రవహిస్తుండటంతో పలు చోట్ల దెబ్బతింది. దీంతో మాచర్ల నుంచి గుంటూరు వెళ్లే ప్యాసింజర్‌ రైలును నిలిపి వేశారు. వరద ఉద్ధృతికి గురజాలలోని వెంకట్రావ్‌నగర్‌ కాలనీ జలమయమైంది. పలువురు ఇళ్లపైకి ఎక్కి ప్రాణాలు కాపాడుకున్నారు.
