He was reluctant to join the Telugu Desam party but he is forced to change his mind now. With top leaders exiting from TDP, Balayya has decided to help his brother-in-law Nara Chandrababu Naidu and save the party. Although he has not announced his decision, insiders say he would announce his political entry towards this year end if situation in TDP worsens. The news is that Nandamuri Balakrishna had called the senior BC leader, C Ramachandraiah to convince him to rethink about his resignation to the party. Balakrishna is close to Mr. Ramachandraiah's brother in law Kadiri Babu Rao and it is with that intimacy that he called him up. He is said to have told the leader that he will talk to CBN on his behalf, but the leader remained firm on his stand. He refused to come back to the party. Also, he said that it was not his personal decision for him to change it. Mr Ramachandraiah said the decision of all his followers in the disrtict and the resignation that was announced was what the followers wanted too.. Balakrishna is speaking to all the leaders, who are likely to go out of the party to join the Chiru camp and trying to convince them to stay back. Sources said Balakrishna is trying to cajole them, saying he was prepared to take over the party mantle, in case, they had any problems with Naidu. 'Please give me sometime. I will lead the party in front in the coming days. Till then, please ensure that the party will survive. Don't get carried away by Chiru charisma,' he is appealing to the leaders. But those who know Naidu's mentality will not be convinced that he would hand over the party to Balaiah. It remains to be seen how Balaiah would succeed in preventing the collapse of TD.
