Politically Incorrect lines a couple here....well....not a Politician, so why care about that stuff....

Ambedkar was Rebel Star.....His embracing to Budhism was not an act of finding peace or spiritual sanctuary for himself, in its root.....something to go against, making a statement. In his zeal to counteract just like many ignorant, he didnt put enough Time and Effort to 'Peruse' what actually he was against.......Against some small minded people he came across or the Concepts he did not have thorough understanding and hence lacking proper knowledge and Wisdom? It was Obvious(for us... For him it was more emotional statement, acting out)

Was it brother? IMO, he sought something else ... tried to go beyond.

YesuKristhu Judaism ni yentha Oppose chesaado......Saakyamuni anthe Oppose chesaadu Native Indian Philosophy ni...One has to go beyond books to see that........ Zero...

But it has no bearing on followers taking liberties and making their own interpretations, both in Christianity and in Budhism......Ambedkar, not a spiritual personality more known for his political wizardry, falls in to that convenient category,......a Goodman carried away with his misplaced emotions and used his personal frustration and anger in making political statements.

Misplaced Anger Obviously......But he was confused, did not really go beyond his personal anger, hence that.....rebellion.

But well, cut him slack, spirituality was not his prime skill, one can not expect him to be masterful in that field......

I try not be harsh on BR A. , but what you said has lot of meaning.....Our constitution is not an Original....You have a valid point.....

Take American Constitution, their pioneers took good stuff, rid bad stuff, customized to their requirements, reflected their values, made it very unique.....American Constitution is well carved one, thats why Americans and others too, revere it even now......

Ambedkar may not be a spiritual person....may not have understood Hinduism in the right perspective....but his choice of conversion to Buddhism was a careful choice. There are other religious people who had invited him, but he very well knew the implications once he guides his followers to those religions.. He knew very well about the abrahamic religions and how their swelling of numbers would affect the territorial and cultural integrity of India. He was a pragmatist and so choose Buddhism. Whether Hinduism approves of Untouchability or not, it is another topic of debate...but the ground realities were different, there were sections of people who were suppressed and being the leader of them, he took the responsibility of guiding them towards the right path...When making this decision to getting converted to Buddism, he knew that it was a religion which was like a sister-concern to Hindusim and would not affect the integrity of India..Its only these days, that the so-called followers of Ambedkar, take up his words spoken against Hinduism (which was lack of proper understanding of this religion as you rightly pointed...and it is natural during those times, as our scriptures were not available to one and all...and even the available ones were the english translations written by the likes of Max muller etc) and cunningly convert those section of people to christianity, which Ambedhkar himself never sanctioned it..

It leads in to one thing......Many people fall in to Victim category, in taking out any real or perceived frustration....Eventually they become Weak......not Stronger....

This is Universal....Only those who rise above that Victimhood, will become powerful else fall victim to their own anger........a Man or Race or Nation....

Correct ye Srk bro.....BR was a Good man....But he got more fame posthumously for obvious reasons.......

Also I was trying to put ultimate bench mark test, without ' reservations'......Yetla gante.....Vaalmiki paid the Correct Remuneration to become Rishi.....a Penance without any reservation or shortcut, no matter where he came from.....Same thing 'Dhruvudu' paid the price to be the STAR.....ultimate penance....no shortcut for being a kid......

BR A ni manam koddiga kid glove tho ne treat chestham.....thats the way it was...more it is now.....not complaining, but telling as it is....

Martin Luther king was a Good Man.....For obvious reasons we dont talk his imperfections, which were well chronicled in FBI files on his personal life......But for all practical reasons, his main cause was good enough for him to be called a Great Man,more so now, than then......Democracy is not always about Cutthroat Excellence, but cutting slack sometimes to appeal to everybody in essence....

Vasu brother....I would say BR was not just a good man but a great man....but we as a nation have only misunderstood him and relegated him to the status of just a Dalit leader, when he infact was a true nationalist and had the interests of the Nation at the core of his heart. He came up in life, the very hard way and it was nothing short of a penance. He was a self-made Leader who gave his everything for the causes he believed. With the education he attained, he would have led a life of luxury, but he choose the path of sufferings and dedicated his life for the upliftment of the down-trodden, which I like to believe, would put him on par with any of our Rishis.

We all blame the constituion he created for us, but very few people knew, its the same BR who declared at a later day date that given an opportunity he would burn the Constitution, as it would do no good to the people of this country and it was written under the guidance, influence and control of the British. This is one lengthy topic which I would not wish to go too far at this moment. Another facet of his life, though he never saw face to face with Leaders like Veer Savarkar, BR was the one who tried to help him out when Nehru was hell-bent on implicating Savarkar in the Gandhi-assasination case for reasons very well known to him. This just shows what a sort of individual Ambedkar is, ready to give up his personal prejudices and even help his sworn ideological opponent when he was in distress and unnecessarily targetted. Truly a Great man indeed..
