Rajamouli and produced by Cherry and Urmila Gangaraju. NTR plays the lead role for this film. This is NTR's third time with S.S. Rajamouli. Earlier the duo have done well with their hits Student No. 1 and Simhadri. M. M. Keeravani, who composed music for all of S.S. Rajamouli's films, is composing music for the film. Senthil Kumar (Sye, Chatrapati, & Ashok fame) handled cinematography. This film became super hit of the season, despite divide talk initially. Dialogues of NTR as Yama are excellent. Viewers also enjoys the graphic inclusion of late NTR. The scenes are very well done and look almost real. This is another blockbuster in the combination of Rajamouli, and NTR. Yama observes it and makes sure that Raja gets killed in the next few days, though he is entitled for the full life of 100 years. Raja goes to Yamalokam and realizes that he is unjustly killed due to the meanness of Yama. He creates confusion in Yamalokam by stealing Yamapasam as whoever in possession of Yamapasam will become Yama. The rest of the story is all about how senior Yama and Raja try to outsmart each other.
