This Sankranthi Season is heating more than ever before with three back to back big releases. Namo Venkatesa, Adhurs and Shambo Shiva Shambo are going to slug it out at the box office as they try to vie for the maximum possible attention. At a time when everything seemed normal, the Telangana issue once again played the spoilsport for the film industry this Sankranthi. Kavitha, the daughter of KCR has appealed to the exhibitors to stay away from ‘Adhurs’ and also remarked that they would not allow ‘Adhurs’ to release in Telangana. However, the producers of ‘Adhurs’ and ‘Namo Venkatesa’ are planning to go ahead with the films’ release as the final prints have already been printed and will be sent to different cinema halls across the state. 123telugu.com had earlier reported that Asian Films had bought the rights for ‘Adhurs’ in Nizam area. The latest buzz is thatthe producers might release ‘Adhurs’ on their own and this way, they are taking up all the risk in case some problem arises in Nizam area. Same’s the case with ‘Namo Venkatesa’. Although the rights were sold to different distributors in Nizam area, Suresh Babu is planning to release the film on his own in this region. More than Rs.120 crores is at stake this Sankranthi for TeluguFilm Industry and that’s a huge amount of money to be played around with. Let us hope that all the films are released without anymore hurdles and they continue to have a good run at thebox office.
