Gist : xxxxxx's task of collecting 10 babies from the wombs of mothers

Analysis :

One thing which every audience keeps in mind before watching Amaravathi, is the promos and posters which resembled to that of a Hollywood movie. With such kind of expectations it is always tough for any director to meet them. Like his previous thriller Anasuya, even for Amaravathi Ravibabu made sure that the xxxxxx act has a reason. However in Amaravathi, the very suspense appeared to be predictable and even the title role had very little screen presence. The first half of the movie though was short in length was boring as many scenes became monotonous. The second half of the movie was gripping but the audience can easily make out the suspense element. Music and sound effects of the movie came out really well. Both Editing and Cinematography were decent. Also why Ravibabu used heavy star cast for a story like Amaravathi is not understood as they didn't have enough scope for performance.

Story :

Seenu (Tarakratna) is a physco and steals babies from the wombs of 9 month pregnant women. Venkat (Ravibabu) is a special task force police officer and is appointed to solve the mystery behind it. In this connection Venkat arrests Seenu. Even after his arrest, the stealing of babies continues. Latha (Sneha), the wife of Venkat is also a 9 month pregnant lady and even she is attacked to steal her baby. What connection does Latha have with the mystery and how Seenu is managing to steal babies in-spite of being in the custody and for whom Seenu is doing all this forms the rest of the story.

Artists Performance :

Tarakratna - His new look suited him very well. Both his diction and voice matched his role perfectly. His performance as a physco was good but lacked the necessary punch.

Ravibabu - Ravibabu did a good job as a police officer. He looked tough and suited the role well.

Bhumika, Sneha - Both these ladies did not have much to perform as their roles were limited.

Sindhura Gadhe - Sindhura Gadhe is seen after a long time and looked stylish as a cop. She did complete justice to her role with good performance.

Kota Srinivas Rao, Parachuri Gopalkrishna were ok in guest roles.

Highlights :

1) Sound effects in the movie were of the top notch

2) The opening shot of Muthyalarevu gripped the audience very well.

Negatives :

1) Monotonous scenes in the first half which bored the audience.

2) Predictable suspense and climax.

Final Say : Amaravathi can be watched if you are dying to watch xxxxxx kind of movies. The movie is limited only to a particular segment of audience and the success of the movie depends on how that particular segment receives i
