We are done with discover, lets try other credit card benefits :)

 

Any One looking for killer deals on electronics, laptops, ipads, Smartwatches, home stuff, Gadgets ? I'm here to help. 

So here is the thing, Many of you probably heard about Discover Price protection. Unfortunately, it's going to end on OCT 31st (permanently). Even though several other credit card companies offer this benefits Discover is best among them. 

Basically Price Protection Means,

If you buy something today, Within the next 90 days if you found the exact item for lower price Discover will refund you the difference. and there is a limit of $500/Claim & Annual Limit of $2500/Each Card.

Claim Process:

Step 1 (Getting Claim Number): 

Call this number 800-638-8312 and tell them you want to file price protection claim.  

Since it’s your first claim, they will create a profile for you (To Keep track of your $2500 Annual limit)

·     They Will ask your Name, Email, Phone Number and Billing Address and credit card details (First 8 & Last 4 digits).

·     Next, they will ask how you want to submit claim - choose online 

(We will upload documents on their website).

·     Next you need to Give Purchase Information.

Purchase Information 

·     Name of the Product: 

·     Date of Purchase:

·     Purchased at (Website or Store Name): 

Low Price Information

·     Lower Price Store Name: Walmart

·     Date you found lower price: (It should be on or after purchase date).

After that ask them to provide those claim number for reference. You will also get an email. 

Step 2 (Claim Documentation): 

Required:

·      Purchase Bill 

·      Discover Card Transaction Pdf (Make sure it’s posted not in processing stage; Normally It will take 2 – 3 days to get posted on your card).

·      Low Price pdf (I will provide this for you – just send me a PM after you purchase the product). 

How to get Discover Transaction PDF:   

·      Login to your Discover Portal. (Desktop)

·      After that click on “View Activity & Statements”. (It should be below your current balance on left side)

·      Click on (Where you purchased, ex: BestBuy or Amazon) Transaction, you will get a Print Transaction option on right side. 

·      Click on it you will get a popup, then save it as pdf.

Step 3 (Claim Process & Approval):

·      It will take 10 – 18 business days to process the claim. Once you get Approval.

.       You can check claim status using the claim number & last 4 digits of your credit card. 

·      They will issue a check within 10 days. 

Rules: 

1.    You Have to pay full amount only using Discover Credit Card (No Other forms of payment). 

2.    No Free Stuff. (For Ex: If you purchase a TV at Best buy they will give 30 days sling tv subscription for free, you can remove it while placing the order or you can ask a store associate to remove free stuff on your purchase).

3.    If they are any returns or exchanges on bill discover won’t accept the claim. 

 

Try to Purchase Stuff from the stores that have longer return period from Amazon, Costco, Samsclub.etc,

Walmart & Bestbuy, Microcenter.. etc has only 14 days return period, 99.99% your claim will be approved. in the worst case, you can return it back if you have more return period.

yeah I got around $50 back on my Dell Monitor from Discover..  with all cash backs, price protection through discover, price match with Dell after purchase (dell price match even after purchase but purchase has to be through dell.com and should found less price on their site itself) and got a gift card with purchase.. Luckily.. The whole effective price of my monitor came down to Zero or even less (I got extra money).. lol

You can buy it from anywhere in usa, just make sure you pay full amount using discover only and No Free Stuff on Receipt :)

ya Every Product ki ala oka document chesi istam bro.. those claim guys will follow the same steps. I'm doing this for past 3 years. Helped a lot of people so far.

adding a suggestion.. whoever wants to buy electronic stuff without tax.. they can also look at bhphotovideo.com and adorama.com, they charge no tax outside NY/NJ, if prices matches from these sites to amazon, get it from here.. if you don't have confidence on third party sellers on amazon.
