Special package or special status - Name doesn't matter as long as we are getting what we should be getting. What we already have in our favour (Since these are present in bill) 1. Polavaram - Already late chesaru. Ippatikaina speed up cheyyali (CBN praised Center for Polavaram as part of special package ) 2. Educational/Medical Institutions - Center should complete them quickly 3. Infrastructure - While industrial infrastructure might be delayed due to several factors, other infrastructure such as roads, irrigation etc., should be created quickly 4. Capital construction The pending issues we have 1. Duggaragapatnam and Ramayapatnam ports This is what the pib release mentioned about Duggaragapatnam port (The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given in-principle approval for the establishment of a major port at Dugarajapatnam in Andhra Pradesh on PPP basis, subject to feasibility.) after 2.5 years you get another feasibility check in the special package 2. Revenue deficit - State and Center are yet to come to an agreement as to how much is the revenue deficit for 2014-15 (The special package doesn't mention how much is the revenue deficit. Still in discussions after 2 years. ) 3. Industrial incentives - We should get industrial tax incentives atleast for identified backward areas in the state, if not for the entire state (PIB release for special package states - Government of India has already legislated for fiscal incentives of enhanced investment allowance and accelerated depreciation. They will come into effect once notified, after the State of Andhra Pradesh identifies the eligible backward areas. - ivi saripovu ani CBN ye chepthunnadu.
