You buy a bike or a car and you are celebrating it; giving treats to your friends and all; but all throughout, you have one thing nagging you at the back of your mind: the registration of the bike with the Road Transport Authority (RTA).

But now, the citizens of Andhra Pradesh do not have to worry about it, thanks to the Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu. For the first time in the country; a new rule has been implemented, according to which, the temporary and permanent registrations can be availed directly at the vehicle showroom.

This move by the TDP government is testimony to the fact that the government has people’s best interests in mind. Imagine the time and money it saves; as now you don’t have to be hassled with the RTA authorities and the registration agents!

Starting today in Visakhapatnam; this move will be started in other districts soon in the upcoming months.

CBN launches online registration for vehicles in Vizag to eliminate corruption!

CBN today launched the online registration of vehicles programme for the first time in Andhra Pradesh at Varun Maruti showroom in Visakhapatnam through video conference. Sitting remotely in Vijayawada, he interacted with the first customer Mr. Eswara Sarma, who purchased a car from the Varun Maruti showroom at Siripuram.

“We have introduced online registration of motor vehicles to minimise delays and eliminate corruption in the issue of registration numbers,” CBN said on the occasion.

The Hindu writes, “A beaming Mr. Sarma, a retired Headmaster and his wife Shanta, expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister. Mrs. Shanta said that this was their third car and the first time when they bought a car, they had to run around the Transport Department before their registration number was delivered after 20 days. Now they were assured of getting the number on the same day without the need to go to the Transport Office.”
