However, one can have a fair idea about what this pitch holds. It will not, for sure, be as dead and buried as Trent Bridge turned out to be, definitely not after the referee, David Boon, dismissed its quality in his report. However, it will not be the green carpet that Lords offered either. In other words,batsman can expect a pitch that is browner and harder. The first thing that strikes you about this pitch is its comparison with Lord's. The grass is not fresh and green but it is denser. There will be good bounce and carry.'
